good showing of k20 power. The focus SVT had mechanical problems, the gti couldn't get past 120mph, and the hytech rsx only finished in 6th place!!!

i was disappointed JR/Hasport decided only to run RSX-S brakes (11.8/10.2 i think?). so puny, especially considering how much power they were putting down. that stop from 130 really hurt the EP's time.

yeah, some of those 1/4 mile times seemed a little wack to me,

the Neon was " a claimed 348 horsepower and 257 pound-feet"

but it's time was 1/4-mile: 15.5 sec @ 97 mph. . .

i'd suspect traction and the heat played a big part in those numbers. they weren't on an actual drag strip, they were on pit road of some speedway in california. and they also had to use C&D approved tires.

These guys simply CAN NOT DRIVE.

How about the 1st Place HKS Turbo RSX Type-S?
Turbocharged K20A2 amking 304hp and 265tq.
1/4 mile = 15.3 @ 103 mph?!?!?!?!
PLEASE!! The RSX-S runs quicker than that 100% STOCK!
Put me in that car and I'll run low 13's.

Just goes to show all the "magazine racer's":
DO NOT TRUST MAGAZINE TIMES.

Most likely you were blind and skipped over this post and this was actually said in the magazine article. They did not change the times for all the factors that weighed against the times.

oh yeah, I forgot, C&D sucks worse than Motor Trend.

I like Road & Track best, but they are still just media types.
