Heres the Freshly installed Eclipse 7001MT in-dash TV and Changer mounted in a Metra dash kit. The color of the kit really looks good. Matched the buttons and the rest of the interior really well.

I would like to thank my wonderfull wife, Kisa for installing the units while I worked on my buddies truck. She mounted both of them, wired them up and even mounted the brain under the passenger seat without any help from me at all.

That car has some "intimidating factors".

Looks good! Please tell me how the hell a radiator cap makes the car run cooler? What makes you think the car needs to run cooler anyway?

Stas03Si
08-28-2003, 05:16 PM
Nice mods. Looking good

And yeah I dont know about a radiator cap doing anything but keeping the coolant in there. But a 160 degree thermostat would make the engine run cooler, and would be beneficial, cause the engine does run hot from the factory due to the emissions. The other day I was sitting at stop light, and the fan kicked in and the wind blew just the right way, and my window was open, and I could definitely feel some major heat, almost started to sweat from it.

Just wondering does the exhuast hit the rear sway bar at all?
And you got any pics of the C pillar bar? And maybe a link were you got it.

I will try to answer all the questions with one post.

STP03BlueSI & 2003EPHatch:
Up until about a month ago I worked for an A&J Racing dealer in Atlanta. I got most of my parts while I worked there. You can get parts direct from them. AJ-racing.com ask for Alan. He's the man.

Bseever:
My wife is the one who drives the car everyday so she pointed it out to me. The car reads a couple (approx 2.5) bars colder on the temp gauge since we installed it. I was doing a little engine dressup at the time and didnt really look to it for any kind of gain. Kinda like an oil cap. After that, we noticed the lower temps. Also my fan doesnt come on nearly as much as it used to.

The "official" Spoon description.
Qoute from AJ-racing.com

A radiator cap functions to increase the pressure inside the radiator so that even if the water temperature exceeds 100oC, boiling will be avoided. Stock Honda radiator caps are rated at 1.1BAR. The Spoon radiator cap increases the pressure to 1.35BAR, thereby improving cooling performance.

Stas03Si:
See above for the link. No probs at all with the exhaust and the rear sway. Im workin on new pics this weekend.

To everyone else, Thanks for the compliments!!

Jon, why you got to tell everyone you sat in my car?? Now everyone will want to sit in it!!!!! :D

Yes sir, Griffin. It is off of 1941. From the road looks like alot of bling, so I never thought of stopping in. That will change now. Also I was a bit of a slacker in school, hence Griffin Technical College. Criminal Justice Yo!

Where can I buy the dash kits for the stereo? I saw one in here (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=16252001&St=4638&St2=-81993936&St3=49258376&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=117780&DID=7), is this one the one you are using? I got mine through the local HiFi Buys. Paid about the same as I would have through Crutchfeild. Make sure you get the Metra Kit. It has the SIngle DIN and Double DIN plates to work with.

Nice machine YssSI !!! The ALEX C-pillar bar you have , i am about to order one this weekend , did you have to cut/dremel out any portion of the plastic in the cars interior . I suppose one would have to take out the interior panels , bolt on the ends to the bar , notch out the interior plastic and place back on and then fasten the bar to the end links . Am i even close , please let me know any details about this if you could leave a quick note .

Big thanks in advance .

I used to work for a neuspeed dealer. I got it at wholesale cost. Actually I got it for less than that, but I dont want o go into all that was involved.
Check with the vendors from this site. Showstoppers or one of the others may be able to get you the hookup on it.
