I'm a big H&R supporter. I have run their stuff on almost all my cars and have always been happy with them. Now if only Bilstein made shocks for our damn cars :(

wow...a reply.. thanks. i was thinking about going with H&R as well (51866-2) is the correct part number. some people have been running the H&R springs for the 01+ civic coupe and the ride sucks because of the different spring rate.

I had Eibach Sportlines put on mine yesterday and it looks great. The ride seems good too, but I haven't had it long enough to really try it out. I'll post some pics this weekend.

I am running the H&R, correct p/n. They ride nice, and the drop is perfect, in my opinion. I do not know how to post a pic, this IMG thing baffles me. My pics were removed from the rides section too.

Riding on Neuspeed Race Springs now...
Ride is fine, problem is 17" wheels with 205/40/17's AND race springs are ruff...

I'm going to switch up to Eibach Sportslines so I can fit 215/45R17 rubber on my car - it won't fit with the race springs now!!

yeah, i got the eibach sportlines, and thinking about putting em on Wed. I'm hoping the drop is to my liking. Eibach has a good rap, so i think i'm going to like them. Right now, i can't stand the stock ride hieght. It really does look like a mini minivan. After the ep is dropped, it completely changes the look of the car. 02SilverSiHB is going to help me put them on.

02SilverSiHB: do you have a digital camera to take before and after pics of my car.

where can i get these teins for $139 shipped at?

also, what springs do you guys recommend for it not bottoming out, I currently have maxspeed, should have never got them b/c i always bottom out on normal driving condition. They probably got the wrong spring rate mixed up with 2001+ coupes and sedans sucks like hell.

So looking for namebrand reliable springs, any suggestions?

thanks for your help

Eibach all the way. 02SilverSiHB and i put my sportlines on about a week ago. He has the teins on Koni yellows. He had Skunk2 coilovers on before. After he drove my car he said that it was as agressive as the Skunk2's but much better ride quality.

The best thing about the eibachs is that they were specially made for the ep's. Unlike a lot of the other springs out, there is 0 butt sag. Nice even drop. The Tein's were showing nasty butt sag on 02SilverSiHB's car. He is selling the Tein's and putting the Progress on. When he gets the money he's converting to Sportline's i think.

I'm completely satisfied. Over the next month the car should set a little more. Probably less than a 1/4inch. Go to the Race track forum and you'll see the pics of all the cars. I think its like "A few EPs hit the track" or something. I havn't had any bottoming out problems and i live in San Antonio.

yeah, those sportlines are awsome. I put the progress in. I can't tell if they are the same or not as your sportlines. I'll have to test yours out again one day :D I'm pretty satisfied with the progress...soooooo much better than the damn teins I had on. But if I could have done it over from the beginning and know what I know now, I'd get the sportlines. Great buy, nice drop and not too low.

I love the progress. The stiffness isn't quite as much as the sportlines. I'm running on konis. I like the progress more overall, since it drops it like I want, the sportline rides a little higher than I'd like...but the sportline is more stiff springs, so it would handle better if I had the sportlines. I think from what I felt from driving my friend's car with the sportlines, is that it is about 5% stiffer than the progress, not much, but you can tell a tad difference.

I have Skunk 2 springs for the RSX. Lowered the car 2.5"s looks nice, and because they are for the RSX which is a heavier car, the ride is stiff, but not to stiff, handles really well.

I have rsx tein on my car. The ride was exactly what i was looking for. It is not too stiff and not too soft, just right. According to tein, stech lowers rsx 1.7 in the front, but beware that on Si, it will be, according to my estimate, a 2.25 inch drop in the front. That was easily fixed though. I went out to autozone and purchased 1 inche spring spacers for the front for 4 bux. The rears drop is exactly 1.4 inch. THerefore will leave the front slightly noticeable an uneven drop, but that was what i wanted. :) Love the ride!

Previously on my EP: H&R Sport (traded for IceBox) Tein S-Tech (sold)

Currently on my EP: Eibach Sportline (I'll keep'em)

Best of the other two that I owned. Had H&R on past Hondas, but didn't like the ride on the EP.

I was gonna get H&R until you made that comment. I really don't know what to go with...right now, i guess it's either gonna be Eibach, or Tein... both companies have reputable names as well as ISO9001 certification so they're both top notch...the drop is the same as well...

02SilverSiHB has pictures of a lot of the cars on different springs. One is of mine on Sportlines the day after we put them on. The springs have settled a lot more since then. Still absolutely no butt sag. The drop is to my liking and it would look better with 17's. 02SilverSiHB had the Teins and they showed nasty butt sag. The performance of my sportlines is incredible as well as the ride quality. Time for new tires though. Give 02SilverSiHB a holler and he'll probably send you the pics.

Driftin Si, was the one who turned me on to H&R springs. To be honest, I had never heard of them since I'm a newbie. H&R springs are SWEET! I'm taking corners faster and the car looks so much better.

I have put H&R sport spring on my EP. I had it for 3 months now. So Far so good. Are you going to change your springs and struts too?
I didnt but I think I have to. Also, If you are going to install H&R
your drop will be about 2 inch front and rear. My camber in front is ok but my rear is -1.6. I will be installing SPC rear camber kit soon.

When I bought my EP it already had Neuspeed Race springs on. It's low and rough. This could be because I have stock struts on though, but they are not blown just had this looked into to be sure.

eibach is too soft
neuspeed is ridiculously soft
never heard of intrax
the s-techs are perfect for stock shocks and they're the stiffest on the list
H&R is too low for stock shocks without roll center adjusters and not very stiff
Progress is perfect height, you could probably do with the roll center adjusters and you could do with some different shocks but you should be alright for about 50k

Bump.

I'm running neuspeed 2" drop and while I love the look, I'm bottoming out over speed bumps, uneven surfaces small imperfections in the road. I believe I'm on stock struts. Those with experience which spring is progressive with about an 1"-1.5" drop? I"m thinking about the Eibach Sportline or Pro-kit. Can anyone chime in? I"m currently at 141k on the odo.

You're shocks are prob done. Check them, if they're good get what im running; progress sport springs, 1.8 F, 1.5 R, keep in mind I'm on brand new HFP shocks though. Great ride on these springs. Or you can go with tein s techs.

How long have you ran that set-up? Has it settled more than 1.8 in F? I brace myself all the time when I'm driving incase of something unforeseen in the road. -_- Esp. if I have a passenger as it makes the car lower.

I've been running this setup for about 2 years now...it's settled very well since the install. I love them...
