I was just wondering what is the fastest anybody has gotten their Si?

Ive heard of people claiming 140.

Personally I have done 110 in mine, during an emergency, but I feel guilty anyway.

Its a serious offense in TX. Going over 100 is something like reckless endangerment or suicide attempt... you can lose your license, especially if someone else is in the car.

Maybe on a track I'll try it again this fall.

I've gotten mine to 125 a couple of times, and it had more to go, but I dont like going that fast.

You can get arrested for reckless driving in Texas. It's happened to me unfortunately. I guess I havn't learned my lesson though. My car will only do 130 redlining in 5th gear. I don't see how anyone got theirs any faster unless they were going downhill.

Well i got my Si up to 180, i have i/h/e Turbo, Buddy Club body kit, 16" racing harts................ J/K i have been to 100, but for only a second, had to pass a big ass semi that was kinda swaying back and forth, he was scaring me. Which brings up another point, i dont know how other cars do but out cars can go from 65-100 pretty damn quick!! i was suprised, i was beside the semi, a little behind, when i puched it by the time i got to the front i was a little over 100, and i didnt downshift, and i didnt 'really' punch it either.

Yeah, 5th gear does accelerate pretty quick. I like it. I don't ever have to downshift when I'm driving on the freeway.

Sprint makes a camber kit for our cars? How much was it? Where did you order it from? Did you do it yourself? Thanks! :D

When i gought my car, it was already lowered with the camber kit and they told me i could pick out rims for the car so i got te buddy club rims. i dont know how much it all cost but i think i got a good price on my si (i paid almost 20,000 with the rims, tires, springs, camber kit, and oil changes till about 50,000 miles) all the stuff they did is under the factory warranty. If you want, you could call diamond bar honda at (909) 594-6632 and ask for the parts department. As for the installation, i think camber kits are hard to put in. I tried to put in a skunk 2 front ajustable camber kit on my 99 hatch and it was a bitch (i think this one will be different because its not ajustable) i didnt have the proper tools. i brought it to my friends shop, and he used some hitech machine to take out the bushing and put it back in.

Back to Top Speed !

I had mine at 138 and it was climbing but I was coming on to some other vehicles. I had come down a slight grade and then was on a level section. I routinely run it around 100- 110 on the limited access highway and I'm nowhere near red-lining it! I'll check the tac next time and report. I still get great gas mileage. :D

Top I got with straight stock was 125, but I had to let off....The traffic ahead on the highway was coming up on me ummm....quickly.

Believe Sport Compact or Car and Driver said the top stock speed they were able to make under closed conditions Was 130 mph.

My Speedometer touched 140 once on a flat road. I think it is just off though. It was redline in 5th and I hit like 142. It would be interesting to know what the real top speed of the si is. Does anyone want to calculate it? I will later if I figure out the formulas and have some spare time.

It has no mods. I was in the process of buying some today but... I ordered the HP Racing ceramic header from Nopi and had my order cancelled without my concent because it was backordered or something like that. Then I bid on an Injen race division CAI on ebay and the selled cancelled my bid and closed the auction. Neadless to say my day went downhill all day

I did the math. @ 6800 RPM with the stock tires (861 revs/mile) we are going 135 mph (140mph is 7050 rpm if it's possible)

well hondas have been known to have a late fuel cutoff and 7000 sounds about right for it. who knows guess we will have to wait till some more data comes out or someone gets a digital tachometer and runs it till the cutoff.
