Thanks for the pics! Do you have any info on mechanical changes?

EVO (UK motor mag) mentions a new clutch and flywheel setup and new 0-62 time of 6.6 seconds. Not sure about suspension upgrades though.

ah...i figured the Type R would suffer from the same redesign we are seeing. however, i like the front lip. it's more contoured to the body and the faux paux vents, like the '99 Si, give it an aggressive appearance. as far as the headlights...ummm...i dunno. i'm sure i'll get used to it, but i'm still not diggin' it. the headlights better be HID. of course, the taillights are horrible.

the lip and mirror turn signals are cool.

I think they're just regular projector lights. Not sure if HID will be an option though, fingers crossed.

do you know if the 30th anniversary features will be available for the 2004 model line? i.e. red recaros/carpeting, momo steering wheel, etc.

Dunno about special editions but another 30AE will be unlikely imho. I'm waiting for the interior pix myself :)

I dont like it, the original design has alot more class than the 2004 "upgrades". Look at pic #2, the headlights bug out from the body eliminating the smooth lines.

The mirrors I dont mind, the tailights are pretty ugly.

i dont think the headlights will be plug n play. It doesn't look like it uses an H4 bulb any more and if it has a projector system that usually means new bulbs. seems like the high beams are now seperate...

I have to say that rear bumper on the 5/door belongs on a van or an SUV.


Also did nyone else note where the side markers are placed?? look at the side view mirrors....... this looks terrible, they look great there on a Mercedes or Beetle, but I think they look perfect on the fender, also it is safer there, as cars coming up from behind can see that your car is going to change direction.

at least the interior is secksi:D that would match almost all the colors except the blu...the red just clashes too much haha

I seriously would not mind doing the Clutch & Flywheel mod to my '02 Si, I bet it would still be worth about .2 sec quicker in an K20a3.


Also I wish our seats had the hanlde on the side to get access to the rear seats.

The UK's regular CTR had our seats with the type-R logo. The 30th anniversary edition was seperate.

04 Si aren't looking too good, about the only thing that I like is the headlights (esp. if they are HID) and about half and half on side mirrors.....everything else I will pass on.....
