Gasp......no more side-markers...........I like the headlights........I hate when they make changes like this! The '04 Si will probably be the last run and they will be the most unique and rare Si ever!

i think honda needs to stop now. Unless they are bringing the type r, they need to stop revising a dead subject. Granted, the new looks and things are kinda cool!

What are you talking about? They took a clean design and tarted it up to make it more appealing to the mainstream. They will sell MORE cars, with leather instead of Alcantara and Benz-copy-cat side mirror turn signals instead of the simple fender mounts. The new front lip looks like lipstick on a pig. The headlights look cross-eyed, the new "H" is too damn big, and the taillights are fad-ish.

The '02/'03 cars will be more rare because they sold less and they will be appreciated for the purity of their design. Unless Honda drops a 200 HP engine in the '04 Si, it's nothing more than an abomination.

i think ours look better. anyways the guage cluster looks dope, but did you guys notice the 4 spoke steering wheel? our 3 is way better :)

If the steering is really better, then I'm going to be jealous, not that I'm complaing about our car's steering compared to the other 3 civcs I've had.

Aagh, I hate being told how everything is "improved"... oh well.

I think I like some things about the '04 better, and I much prefer some things on my '02. Maybe, eventually, I can take parts from the new one and make mine even better than it is now.

Even if I don't do that, I'm still damned happy with my EP.

Besides, the rarest EP is the euro yellow -- just for '02, and not that many of 'em, either. I dig the color, and would've gotten it if they didn't come in black.

Oh, and who says that the taillights must stay chromed? Owners have been painting their headlights -- the same could be done with the taillights... (I smell a photochop coming...)

That is an interior picture of the 5 door model. The 3 door model will have a 3-spoke steering wheel, among other small changes.

I like the new look. But its nothing I haven't seen before. The reason why I like my EP is cuz its unique and it stands out. The new Si's have the new face gauge which makes it look like the RSX. The boot looks like any other stick shift car. No one I know has the accordian boot besides our ep's.. There are some good and bad features with the new eps...

i just got to see the pictures...cuz when i went the link was messed up or something...but...thats kidna cool...this is a "euro" civic tho right? so that means its not coming over?

Are those Xenon headlights standard? Wow they look so cool.
I wonder how many of you are gonna trade you Si for the new one...
I also wonder if would be a good idea to get those new headlights and install them into my Si? What do you think of that?
bye

Functionally speaking, I like the idea of the new headlights. If anything happens to my '02 ones, I'll be looking at the new versions.

Here's a quick & dirty photochop of the '04 taillights with the extra chrome painted black --

If the UK badge is gone for 2004, will it be harder to find?

sniperSI

Maybe this was covered but all these changes arent for USDM Si's this is for the overseas models.

1.4E
1.6 SE
1.6 Sport
1.7 SE
2.0 Type-R

I don't think we are getting 5 lugs or a new cluster or cool seats or new steering wheel ;)

The UK badge was only used on JDM cars, not on UK ones (not sure about Europe, but I don't think they had it)

Pretty sure everyone had them except us. Check some type Rs on this website from the UK.

You could probably make some cash selling these to Yanks (on this site).

I agree, the press release is for european market, it says so in the header.
USDM will most likely just get the GFX kit, head and tail lights. I hope that the 2004 Si gets intermittent wipers, so that my dealer can get the wiper switch at discount. They can order Acura one, but I would have to pay full retail. I hope the headlights are interchangeable with 02-0 3 and are HID not Xenon.

Have you guys seen the side mirrors? They have the LEDS markers in them.. Now that is what I want!!!

The gauges in the 04 look like the current USDM coupe/sedan indiglos. They're nice and bright and readable at night, but I personally like the black on white with amper glow. Headlights look nice, but JDM Type r front looks much nicer.

EDIT: The red looks sweet, and I'm still jealous of the side skirts

BarracksSi

Indiglo gauges?

I rode in a Chrysler once with indiglo gauges. They were the kind that had the entire thing glow, as if all the white on ours would light up.

Even though I was a passenger, I hated the indiglo. It was terrible for night vision, and I couldn't imagine using it as a driver.

I really hope that the 04's gauges aren't like this. I would be seriously disappointed in Honda if they chose to do this.

The Si skirt/sill might be the base UK model one:

It'll probably look almost like that + the 5 mph bumpers...if I had to guess. I'll still hope for some new OEM 4 lug 16's to upgrade my ride with.

EP3RII

The UK Sport model is being upgraded from 15 inch 4 studs to 16 inch 5 studs in 04 so I on't be surprised if you get the same change.

I'd be surprised...I don't think we've ever had a 5-lug Civic. Maybe 4 lug 16's...
