I want my EP to remain comfortable as a daily driver, however, there are a couple of things I'd like to change. I've spent considerable time and money on my RWD platform, but I don't know where to start with the FWD EP. The all-season 195s aren't holding me back a this point and break away cleanly. ;) Lightweight 15s or 16s with 205/225s would come later.

Here's what I'd like to accomplish.

1) Eliminate some of the wheel gap
The Tanabe NF210 (Normal Feeling) springs sound interesting because they allow for a minimal drop without excessive spring rate changes. I DO NOT want to fuck around with a camber kit or change the stock struts out. Is there an option that will allow me to get a bit of a drop and not have to change everything else?

2) Rotate quicker
I'd like the rear-end to follow the nose a bit quicker than stock. I'm not looking to autocross/open track the car, just improve street handling. Would a simple upgrade to a thicker rear bar accomplish this task?

Thanks!

the eibach pro kit only lowers the ep about 1.25 if i'm not mistaken that will help eliminate the gap. I cant speak for ride because i never had it. i think one of our members had the prokit and liked it but after a year or so said the ride was getting a little bouncy probably because added shock wear. of course it does help lower the center of gravity a tad which will help handling some

I thought you didn't want to mod this car. ;)

You might want to look into the Mugen suspension - no need
for a camber kit, drop is about 1.5" or so and it's fairly cheap
($1K). Most of the aftermarket springs seem to blow the stock
shocks after a year (or sooner) and since there's only one
set of shocks that fit (Koni's, that need to be modified), I'm
personally going to wait on that...for a little while, anyway. There
should be several good reviews of the Mugen susp. in this forum.

As for the rotation factor, check out a stock RSX-S sway bar
or a JDM Intergra Type R sway bar. I think they are 21 and 25mm.
Both bolt right on and are cheap (I got my RSX bar for $55 shipped,
others have gotten it for $20 from a friend. The DC5 bar should
be under $100 as well). I noticed improved handling with my
RSX-S bar, even on stock suspension/tires.

i was gonna say mugen suspension as well, but didnt sound like he wanted to swap out the struts. however that would be a perfect choice and give u the drop u are looking for from the sounds of it.

Yeah, what the fuck ever! :D I spend a few days on this site and see all the kick-ass shit you guys are doing and I'm going nuts. I'm not a body kit/fart pipe guy, but I like a lot of what I'm seeing. That black Mugen EP is fucking sick! I got the mod bug something serious from working on the Z and mods for the EP are like 1/4 of the price I pay for the same shit on the Z.

I don't want to spend full-suspension money on the EP due to still needing things for the Z, but going through stock struts is not an option either. I'm going to check out the RSX-S rear sway pronto. At that price I can sneak that shit right into the house without the spousal unit even knowing about it. ;)

Thanks!

clubrsx.com is a good place to look for used rear sway bars.

One last thing - the Honda tech at my dealership told me that as
long as I don't "slam" my car that they will warantee the shocks
if they blow. So your dealer (if they are friendly) might help you
out in that respect, too. But you also said you don't want to
mess with the camber kit, so...anyway, just a thought.

I've got a set of Pro-Kits, no camber issues without camber kits. Less body roll, a little bouncier, no issue with the stock shocks after three or four months. I like them fine; I am looking into KW V2s for the adjustability they have though.
