How will a nicely broken-in engine drive and feel differently from the way it was brand new?

In my Si, the engine seems to crave higher revs now.

I could tell when my engine was broke in....

it spools up a bit faster and has gotten a little louder

Actually, CgSi's correct. When the piston rings are fully seated, oil consumption drops to about 100-200cc per 1000 miles, even less if you run a synthetic.
