How would factory fogs blind me if they're pointed outwards in front of me?

I did do a search. (looked up *fog*) (http://ephatch.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=159436&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)

Almost all of it was about the install. A few said it was good and one or two said it lit up the whole road. Things like that doesn't tell me anything. It's like saying intake makes your car super fast when your really looking for hp gains.

Did you even search to make sure my answer was there before you posted your comment? cuz i sure didn't find exactly what I was looking for before I started this thread.

I was hoping to get a more descriptive response from someone who has these fogs(i.e. if the light was really concentrated near the car and the rest of the road was just dim, or if it would completely light up a stop sign or even a stop light since people say it lights up the whole road), and probably ask them other questions if needed. What some people consider "good" doesn't mean everyone else will think it's good....

damn man, I'm just trying to be thurough w/ my research. I have a tendency to want things to go right w/ my car buying stuff thats worth the money. Especially with a pair of lights worth $~300, which might not even be of any use to me.

... whatevers... if your just gonna be all pissy thinking that I didn't use the search button, then i rather wish that you didn't reply previously and just left my thread unanswered.
Its really annoying when you look for help and other people just blow you off telling you to do things you already did.

look you stupid slut. all you freaking asked in your og post was "do they put out more than stock headlights" so i said yes, they're blinding.. and when i wrote "search" i didn't mean it in a pissy term you faggot. if you want nice lit up road, get some HIDS. and dont get all defensive when people respond you ass.

my fog's help light up directly in front of the car as well as the extreme fromt left and right sides of the car. i can drive in the middle lane of a 3 lane highway and light up the concrete barriers on each side with the fog lights...

it helps alot since i live in vegas and not all places are well lit, such as the area's that are under construction, and going out to the desert..

imo i can't immagine driving without my foglights now, it's not much but it does light up the road more that just headlights

civic hatch boi -

The first line of my question asks "how good the factory lights are?"

Who wouldn't get defensive when responded w/ sarcasm & then being told what do? Maybe if you responded in a different way, I would have just explained what I was looking for and that i searched. But to me, the way you replied was as if you were talking down on me.

Sb00 -

hmmm, so if there was a car about 2 or 3 car lengths in front of you, how much of the car would be lit up? If I remember right, I thought fog lights were supposed to keep low to the ground so you can see the road and not the fog in front of ur windshield (when actually in heavy fog). I could be wrong though hehe.

Oh, one more thing, how different are they in color? Is noticable yellower or whiter? because i'm really looking for more yellowish ones and if you can noticably yellower, then I think I'll be happy.

Thanks a lot for your help.. appreciate it. :) :) :)

I think they are a rip off for the price... I mean, i dunno how bright they are or anything, but just pricewise, i think you could get a lot better deal on some PIAA's or something... I wanna get either a real yellow or bluish light when i get the money....

i'm running the Sylvania Silverstars in my headlights and some led parking lights, so the stock fog light bulbs definatly look yellow

if i'm out tonight i'll try taking some pics of the road from the drivers seat with the fogs on and off

i may actually have some pics like that when i first installed em... lemme look real quick and if i find em i'll post

i have my fogs pointed to the area where my normal headlights don't light up which is right infront of the car, but you can adjust the up/down and right/left tilt of the lights so you can pretty much get it to point wherever you want them to point, but they only go on when your headlights are on

oh cool :)

yea, they are kinda pricey. but for factory, I'm willing to fork out 250.

my friend came over the other day w/ his a4, and said he wanted to change his fogs to yellow. when i looked at it (he changed the bulbs at my house), the bulbs were h11's. If i remember correctly, our oem fogs use h11's too. So if any of you are interested, he said he got the bulbs from here (http://www.supremepower.com/category/lighting/spplight.html)

the light it shun was yellow, but when you looked into the fogs itself, it didn't look too yellow.

we stuck his car in our garage and cloosed the door. the left side has the yellow bulb, and the right is stock. still kinda hard to see, but you get the idea. if he ever takes better pics, i'll let you guys know

so yea... just fyi :D
