Mugen Wing - UK Type R Owner Needs Help

Hi,

Have searched the forum, it would seem a few of you have fitted the above wing.

I have bought this;

Now from what i can see and gathered from various threads is that Si owners need to modify it (and TypeR wings) too fit, as it has the same fitting as a UK TypeR, for window clearance etc.

I have some pics below, showing my TypeR wing and the fitting area on the rear screen.

My question is (mainly to those who have fitted them) am i right in thinking that the ebay wing i have bought will fit straight on because i already have a modified rear screen, to suit my TypeR wing etc.

Also how did you guys secure the wings, does it have moulded studs or moulded nuts in the rear of the wing, or did you have to screw into it in some way.

The Mugen Wing should bolt striaght all though I noticed on your Mugen wing that there were no studs.Maybe the pictures were too small.If there are moulded in nuts,then use bolts.The mugen wing was designed for your CTR not our Si.I used a special hi-density mushroom Velcro to attach mine.If you need some I can help you source some.Very similar to the Velcro used to attach the Si spoiler except less expensive.If the Mugen wing doesn't have those long rubber strips like your CTR spoiler.Either transfer the ones you have or buy some and tape it on.It's probably for noise or not to scratch your glass.Don't forget the foam washers.

I'm sure one of the Ephatch members would be more than HAPPY to switch your interior panel for our third lite and interior trim piece so that you'll have a THIRD brake lite.It plugs striaght into your CTR's.
