Anybody know anything about these wheels I have a chance to get a set for cheap. Getting them in bronze I hope they look good on a silver Ep, they are only 15 lbs in 16 inch size which makes me happy, light weight. Any opinions on these wheels.

Circuit 8s are GREAT wheels!

Very sexy, and a replica of Mugen MF8s to boot!

Where are you getting them for cheap? I wanna set!:*

thanks for the info , I dont really know much about what wheels are decent these days, dont follow the wheel scene much but they seem like a decent design, and I love the low weight. Theres a fellow clubsi guy getting rid of his as he needs funds to repair his car.

I'm not sure how good of a deal it is but I'm willing to pay the amount he wants as it sounds like a decent price to me. He wants $1000 for all four rims and Khumo 712 tires , rims are in mint condition he's only had them for a short while, tires are about 3 months old. I know even the Canadian tire no name wheels would cost about 3/4 of that price so I was thinking its a good deal.

I know of another clubsi guy (ontario) selling 15 inch black Rota slipstreams and good tires for about the same price. And another clubsi guy selling 16" white lightweight Enkei rims and toyo proxes tires for $1200. Another member is selling 15 inch Mugen rims and tires for $1800. A lot of guys getting rid of rims this time of the year, they all seem like nice setups.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!!

$1000 for a used set of 16" Rotas and tires is a rip. You can get a brand new set, with Yoko ES100s for $893, shipped, including rings and lugs! Go to http://www.machiii.net . Excellent customer service.

I'm guessing JSIR is talking about Canadian funds. I live in Canada but went to Michigan to get my rims/tires. I paid just over a grand USD for 17" Konig Verdicts with Yokohama Parada Spec 2's installed.

well I'm talking Canadian funds here, that price you list would end up costing me about $2000 by the time I bought them had them shipped and paid taxes/duties/broker fees up here in CDN funds.

they are good wheels. Cheap, relatively light, and inexpensive. I say you try to bargain him down to 650-700USD for wheels and tires. If you can't it still is a good price because they go for about 900 new anyway. If the rims and tires are in good condition, go for them. That design is my favorite:)

Here's what my car looked like on 16" Bronze C8's. Tire size was 225/40/16

are these wheel weak tho?

last time my friend told me rota's mugen style rim could break off coz spokes are too thin, not like the real mugen's which is forged.

ever thought about using 5Zigen FN-01R-C or Black racing Pro-N1?
both of them are made in Japan yet the price is quite reasonable.
These are casted not forged tho. I find that many sites list FN-01R-C as FN-01R, watch out! FN-01R is the light weight forged version which comes with either black or white only, and they are $$$$.

Hey JSIR

The deal of the year on Csi would of been a set of 16" Rota Slips with 205-50-16 Khumos for $1250 cdn brand new!!! (which I managed to miss till it was SOLD) :( I was looking at the rims you were talking about but then the problem is those tires (205-40-16) are too small for our cars! You'd have to get a decent price ($300) or so for those tires to be worth your while!

If you can get him to go down to $900 bucks and manage to sell those tires for approx $300 bucks, then I say GO for it!!

as for nozomi's comment about the wheels breaking, I've actually seen pics of one of the rims of a car with C8s break after hitting a curb. Its a safety issue if you hit a curb or something in high speed. But then at the end of the day, if you get into an accident, there are sooooo many variables that will screw you over anyway so I wouldnt worry about the wheel breaking.

yeah I am going to sell the tires on the c8's as they are too small for our car, I should be able to get $300 for them .

I think any aftermarket tuner wheel can break hitting a curb depending on conditions, I can live with that if I was to screw up and hit a curb, I dont winter drive and I dont drive crazy on the street. I dont think Ive hit acurb in the last 10 years of driving that I can recall. Plus the way they make cars these days youll likely break some suspension parts along with a wheel hitting a curb at speed. As long as they dont break in normal day to day driving or normal pot holes in the road I am happy with that. I've seen forged wheels crack and bend due to road hazards, so they aren't immune to the damage either when it comes to speed and hard objects.

Thanks, I didn't like the fact that they were 40 series so I got rid of them.
