Hey everyone. I am looking to upgrade my suspension. I was thinking of Tein's but I have been reading that they are not made for our EP's... Hmm.. What is good "full" kit to buy for under 1 grand? struts & spring combo...

I believe most of the vendors here that offer the KW's are selling them for $1150 or so. A little more than a gran, but they're stainless and very simple to adjust . . .Which has turned out to be a blessing since they're my first set of adjustable coilovers and I really had no clue how difficult they might be.

Tein SS is available on Ebay for less than $1000. I just did a short write-up in this forum. Search.

I second the KW's!
BTW why is this thread rated with 5 stars?

The KWs are nice, for sure, but they're not the best bang for the buck. Tein Basics are the best bang for buck: Less than $700 on Ebay (versus $1300 for the KWs) and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the driver's seat. The stainless thing is nice, but not everybody needs that.

I agree. I personally made my decission based on the fact that no modifications were needed, and that some one who had the SS talked about bottoming out ( with the settings at factory recomended). Also when I made my purchase the Basics were being pushed back "another two weeks, and KW had them ready to go. ( that last point has no bearing on this debate:))
I live in the Phoenix area so the who9le stainless issue is mute. Besides mine are galvinized;)

I haven't had it bottoming out, but maybe it's because I've got them set a little higher than recommended.

I hear ya about living in Phoenix. I used to live in downtown Tempe until I got sick of all the big-breasted blondes ignoring me. ;)
