Spent the entire weekend, from Fri - Sun at the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Ca. There was a small but very nice import car show on display, saw a Yellow Ep on black wheels with a J/R supercharger, and a white Ep with a really trick C/F hood, spoiler filler, and hatch....

I am looking for a C/F hood that fits as close to the O.E. hood as possible, has the holes for the squirters and possibly has the inverted definition (psuedo) scoops. I will take one that doesn't have the scoops if it's top notch in quality..

Fitment was like OEM. Top notch quality. It also had holes for the squirters also.

Quite frankly, I just like the contrast of the grayish grain against my satin silver. Im not too caught up on the weight thing, but I think a vented C/F hood would help disipate heat better, esp if I add an S/C or Turbo.

Does anyone know who makes SpeedRacer's CF hood?
Is that a VIS product?

Thanks

The hood that Speedracer has is made here in the U.S. It's called the monster hood, and they go for 499.00 shipped. Similiar quality to the VIS ones. The only one VIS makes right now is the OEM hood. They have a new double sided OEM CF hood also. Let me know if anyones interested!

Does anyone know how much weight you actually drop when you get a cf hood? it's gotta be a lot more than 5 pounds.
