OK, it looks like from the other thread there have been suggestions of doing regional meets instead of one national meet. Obviously, for logistical reasons, the regional meets would make more sense, but a national meet would be more impressive.

So, for now, let's vote on regional meets or one national meet. Once we get that squared away, then plans can move forward as far as setting locations and dates, etc.

Sound good? Good.

We should get the reg. meets going first to establish us. Then we could plan a huge ass meet down the road.

You know the huge ass meets you see on the speed channel don't happen in one year. Takes time, easier to get smaller meets going. Also takes less time and money.

We should have meets in different areas for the different Regions first. It would be easier to set up and not many people want to drive there ep across the US or Canada.

I agree we would need to start small & let it grow. We would also need it to be some place everybody would want to go.
I vote New Orleans. :D

As much fun as a national meet would be, the chances of getting that many people to show up on the first go around would be pretty hard to come by. I voted for a regional meet to get the "locals" together, still with the expectations of 20 or more EP's easily, and then down the road plan a national meet. Im down for a another road trip in the EP anytime and would love to see 20 EP's chillen at a park or car event. Count me in!:)

I'm in no matter what. I can't wait to meet some fellow ep hatch people. I'm like on another planet in Kansas City...theres like 3 eps in my area. How about Denver? ALOT more to do in Denver than in KC. Unless you like BBQ.

regional - much, much easier to organize and much more of a chance to actually get people to come :)

so would those who voted for the national meet be disappointed in three or four smaller regional meets? i agree with the guys who said it might be smarter to establish some smaller regional meets first before tackling the logistical challenge that is the national meet.

I wouldn't be disappointed....I'll go no matter what. Texas would be cool for the midwest...maybe austin?

Here's some ideas for regional locations:

SouthEast (FL/GA)
NorthEast (NJ/NY)
MidWest (TX)
NorthWest (WA)
SouthWest (CA)
WestCanada
EastCanada

Those locations work for me.

US_Si makes some good suggestions for the regional locations. Anyone have any objections to those?

At last check, regional meets were ahead 23-13 in the voting, btw.

I think that vegA$$ would be a good spot for all people of all ages. Its not just a place to gamble, there is all sorts of shit to do! Hell in just about any city there is something cool to do.
Indoor go-carts are cool as shit! Rent the place out for a couple of hours and have a freaking blast!

A national meet would have to have like vendors and drags and a bunch of other stuff. Something has to entertain a bunch of EP'ers:D

Im up in northern cali area for school.. but i also reside in so cal occassionally.. but i think because of the massive amount of ep3ers in cali.. we should have a northern and southern cali meet.. or a regional in Vegas would be a plus as well..

Best thing to do is regional meet. What if we had all our regional meets on the same day. Its sort of like a national meet...right?

well, as cool as a national meet would be, no matter where you have it, it might as well be a regional meet, because, thats whos gonna show up, the people within say 6-8 hours drive.

now id love a national meet, but like i said.

thus, i voted regional

if the meet is in vegas i know a great karting place that is fairly cheap and tons of fun. it's about $20 for 20 laps, with each lap being 26-32 sec long depending on your skill.

and yea there is stuff in vegas for people of all ages not just the 21+ crowd. we could have a day of karting, followed by a bbq and a drive around town, or even perhaps a drive around the red rock canyon area, or even have the bbq in the lake mead area.

depending on the day there may have the street drags out at the speedway and we could get a massive amount of ep's to take it to the drag strip :)

I can vouch for my good friend Sb00. You just have to know the right people to show you around where there isn't just 21+ stuff to do. Vegas has alot to offer other then just drinking and casinos. As said above, Lake Mead and Red Rock make for very sweet meeting and picture taking places. Not to mention the wide options for BBQ-ing:D

Man! The US is too big, can't we hire some Japanese New-Tech Company to shrink it? ;)
