Heres how you do it.

Step 1 - Unclip the shift knob and unscrew

Step 2 - The silver clip has to come off, so inside the silver clip there are 2 progs holding on the base part, push on those and the silver clip should come off along with inside the shift boot a black clip also. These two clips sandwich the rubber shift boot.

Step 3 - Go to your local car parts place (ex: I went to Auto Zone) And ask for a POWER BRAKE CHECK VALVE GROMMET. there should be like 2 in the package (cost is 2.99), and use teh smallest one that looks like it fits perfectly in the top of the silver clip where the shift knob used to clip into.

Step 4 - shove the grommet onto the shift linkage so that the silver clip is now going to be on the inside of the shift boot (you are going to use everything you took off, only all you're gonna do is switch the black and silver clips places).

Step 5 - Push the silver clip inside the shift boot and then clip on the black clip on the outside.

Step 6 - Install new shift knob.

Step 7 - Take car for a spin and admire your new shift knob that Trevor helped you install and say to yourself "Damn, I think Trevor Should Be a Moderator cause hes so damn smart, and he knows what hes talking about."

:D

I put on a S2000 shift knob so that it gives my car that CTR look, and it sits so perfectly its not even funny, I am extremely pleased at how it looks. If anyone around me has a digital camera that would like to take pics of my ride and post them PLEASE let me know.

Took the stock chrome piece off the boot and replaced it with a plastic one from my friends old Si boot. It stay there with a black rubberband inside the boot. Then I wrapped another black rubber band around the shifter to keep the boot from sliding down. The shift knob just screwed right on. Sorry for the lame instructions. It's kinda hard to explain. :)
