What gauge wire should i use to wire up all my speakers. I was thinking 12 but do i really need 12 gauge wire. 16 is so much cheaper. Im running the fosgate 301x. its 40 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. thanks guys

For speaker wire, you'll be fine with 16ga. I went with 14ga, but only because that's all it came in (i stuck with a particular brand).

If you're looking for it cheap, check out ebay. There's usually 50ft. rolls of it going on there for like $10.

i got my d-blocks & fuse holders from a user I found on ebay, hifisoundconnection has the best prices. they have a website at www.hifisoundconnection.com, but to be honest they were a bit slow on responding to my order on their website, but I'm sure it's because the site just launched.

The cable I actually bought from a buddy of mine who runs a shop.

16's fine for the amount of power you're running.

Jaydub: Nice set-up. I've always been a fan of their product myself.

You won't hurt anything by using wires bigger than what is recommended by the manufacturer. I wanted to go with bigger cables in case I ever upgraded my amps, I won't have to deal with re-running my cables with a bigger one. It's all a matter of preference though.

If you haven't bought the cable yet, try walmart. They sell Scosche amp kits that are pretty decent quality (though I don't know if they carry a 4ga amp kit) and if they don't, try http://www.knukonceptz.com . I used the knukonceptz kit, and it's pretty good for the price (around $30 I believe).

Hope that helps.
