scratches head...hehe...that's confusing to me ...hehe
can't wait for more though, I wanna do this mod!
there is a type-r look shift nob where the numbers light up, I think that would look a little better imo...I might go that way. :)

Glad you guys like it;)

Sorry for the confusion, i should of put 'center compartment' (was doing it quickly)

That sounds cool! That was my first idea but i decided it would be too difficult to do my self so i just made a perspex ring to replace my original and put 3, 3mm leds to illuminate it,

example;)

Just go for the 5mm water clear leds for most things, use the smaller 3mm for tighter areas.

Use an led resistor calculator to find what resistors you need.

Here's a link to my website with pics of my interior http://www.recognitiondesigns.com/civic/center_con.html

and some better pics:p

(i live in the UK) rofl I just realized that, after wondering why the a/c things were on the other side lol.
Can you post something on how you got the lights into the a/c guage things? Thanks.

Well i got alot of help from Ocelaris (Thank you! ) and his DIY at K-Series (http://www.k-series.com/tech_detail.php?Tech_ID=EP_CON_LITE_SWAP). Drop him an email and im sure he'll help you to!

To get the leds in the A/C controls you have to take the two parts of the center console out, unclip all wiring sockets and unscrew the knobs and buttons from the center console piece.
Then just unscrew the units till you can get to the bulbs, unscrew them, solder in your leds with resistor. put it back togather and thats it!...
well there's a bit more to it but its actualy quite easy once you get your head around how leds have to be wired.

best advice I can give is always go for a bigger resistor then you need and assume all voltage is 14v,
cos some circuits in the car run at 14v when the engine is running and if you don't have the right resistor the leds will burn out.

I think its a great mod, cheap, eye catching and individual!;)

Looks gret man

The last 2 pics on your site of the whole thing back together have bad links or sometihing when u try and enlarge.

I would also like to know how bright that is, I mean can you really see it well and does it seem as bright as the factory lights. Sorry I just never can tell shit from pics.

Those links seem to be working for me?! Anybody else have probs with those pics?

The lights are just as bright, maybe even a little brighter than the factory standard!
Being blue, they are more vivid and even light more roof!
Yea they don't just light up the icons, but also give out a blue glow on the roof and doors.

The pics don't do it justice.

Shame i'm in the UK, I'd love for you all to see it in person!
