View Full Version : Miles per Gallon..........What do you get?

Ok, I have to fill up every week for my car, so it comes to about 18-20 bucks a week. I drive like 240 miles between fillups, and 100 of those miles are highway. I average about 23 MPG highway, and 19 city. This seems extremly low. Am I crazy? Please post you MPG's, and maybe I can find out if something is wrong with my EP, thank you.

I got over 30mpg (between 30 and 34) on my last highway trip. That's up from the 26-27mpg I got when the car had ~1,000 miles. I've put about 3,700 on it now, so I'm guessing that's why the mileage has improved.

I have a question as well: how big is the reserve tank? i.e. how far can i drive after the gas light comes on? I filled up right after it came on, and I managed to get a little over 9 gallons in...so, 4 gallon reserve?

By the way, I'm new here. I got my black '03 mid-august, and I'm entirely addicted to driving it : ).

uh, I got 2500 approx on me EP. The reserve is like 3 gallons. Everytime I fillup on a little below E, I put in like 10 gallons. DOn't know exactly tho.

Our gas tank in the EP is a little over 13 US gallons. The gas light in my experience usually turns on with roughly 3 gallons left in the tank, because when I fill up it put in about 10 gallons of gas. I think I get about 24-25 mpg, but that's all around town stuff. Not to great, I need to slow down sometime...

worst has been 250 before the light came on, best has been 310 before light came on.

it comes on roughly at 10gallons so 25mpg is my worst but i usually average somehwere around 27 to 29, with a high of 31mpg
