View Full Version : WTF is this thing???

So, I'm cleaning out the trunk and I notice this thing just below the latch, at the bottom of the hatch opening, and I can't figure out what it is. It moves back and forth a little bit, but that's about it. I looked in the owner's manual and found nothing. Anybody know? Here's a pic:

Well, thats the first time I have seen that. I guess you could use it to strap down stuff. Or something like that.

Uh, I don't think so. The cargo net installs using four hooks that attach to the sides of the trunk. The installation instructions are here:

While we're at it, anybody wanna tell me what those 2 clips are for... there's one on each side in the back seat.

Those hold the rear seat belts out of the way when you fold the seats down. They're in the owner's manual.

it's the anchor for the top tether latch for a carseat. Lower Anchor Tethers for CHildren = LATCH. If you put your fingers between the seat cushions you will find the lower anchors. The one by the hatch is to connect the tether from the top of the carseat while it's forward facing.

You are correct! It's right there on page 39 of the owner's manual. I missed it the first time. Thanks for clearing it up.

yup yup, the book doesnt show you how to anchor the center one, the one at the hatch openning is for the center seat
