At least it won't get in the way if you have to haul something big.

Alright well I got mine today and got it installed with a little bit of cutting that I did you can't even tell it's there. Here's the finished product picture.

Very nice! I haven't got around to cutting the plastic covers yet...I'm lazy. ;)

It's not hard it's actually pretty soft plastic for my skill saw :D I guess it could be better, but with the carpet you can't even see where I cut anyways.

Thanks, it's not too hard just remember an extension on the ratchet helps you get the nuts off that are around the back side.

Yep, a ratchet extension & tall 14mm socket is a must to install it.

I ordered mine too, should be here soon.

A friend of mine who has a white ep just put his 2001 civic tie bar on, it looks cool I think I'll order a cheap one and put it on.

I got my strut bar in the mail yesterday... It looks and feels like a solid peice of equipment. Very stiff... anyway, I tried last night to put it in... however, no deep sockets, so I'll have to wait. It does look like it will be a bitch to install... there's preactically no play in the socket wrench when you are trying to remove the nut on the back side of the shock tower.

Did you use a torque wrench at all?

it's easy. like I said just make sure you have a 6" extension to use with the rachet. Also, of course a deep socket 14mm. Just hold one hand on the ratchet to keep it steady and another to break it loose. It's easy. As for torque...I'm guessing 35ft lbs...like the previous civic....but I just put it down tight. I'd wait till the nut was snug and then do a 1/2 turn to make it tight.
