:confusem: i dunno if i should be a k20a2 (rsx type s) or a b20z... (crv) i have a 98 hatch... with no motor inside of it yet... and i want to but one in... but i dunno which one... the k20 fits and all... but i know all the componets are on the wrong side... i'm not sure if the b20 fits well... and my car will run low 13s if i put a b20 in it... cause one of my friends has a b20 in his 92 hatch and it runs 13s... so my question is which one is better to put in my car... the b20 or k20.... i know it's hard to find the k20 and it might be a lil expensive too... but around my area too many ppl are putting b18 or b17 in their cars... and i don't want to be like them and do the same thing... i want to do something different that's all...:smilem:

K20 will def. be more unique and have more potential once you start to mod it, but the higher compression and meth head power band likes n/a. If you put a k20a2 into your car and do the full N/A mods, you'll get a nice 220-230whp and like...150-160ish wtq. I'm pretty sure that the k20 modded will produce more hp and tq than the b20, but i'm almost positive the b20 likes boost, so it depends. A boosted b20 would very nice, as i'm sure a toda-fied k20a2 would be very nice too. I'd still prolly go w/ the k20a2...or k24 if you wanna have assloads of low end for that light ass car.

you get the k20a dc5 R (they make mounting kits for them already, check honda-tech.com) you'll run circles around them, not to mention unique AND mod for mod you'll do better.

You can't just throw in a b20 and be running 13's. You gotta build the motor up, usually a b20/vtec. Even wtih the b20/vtec, you still gotta do some work to get into the 13's unless you're running on slicks. It's easier to throw in a b20 as of right now. As for the k20a, it'll be a monster with that motor. Just get that motor with Hondata and it'll be a beast. Too bad it'll be a bitch to find complete motor mount kits; and wiring will be a headache.

yes, everyone with previous dc5 and ep3 chassis are worried about mounting kits for swapping a k20 in their ride.

I'd be much more worried about the wiring scheme involved than finding a way to bolt it up. Wiring it correctly is easier said than done.
