before i got my ep, i test drove a wrx, and one thing i really liked was where their factory (optional) boost gauge was mounted, so i decided to do my own thing with a cf cup and silver gauge and mounted it in the exact same place, im diggin it even though i knew most wouldnt ;)

I'm glad I've now seen the EP3 with C2s or C2 look-likes. For super_si_45, what size tires are you running on that? I've got some C2s with 205s and I'm wondering how they'd be versus the 215s.

super_si_45
11-07-2003, 11:09 PM
im runnin 205/40s

i got the cover from some dude off here in the shop, dont remember who, anyways, he "claimed" it was custom made and flawless, it was nice, but the film on the top its starting to turn sticky and actually its looking pretty shitty, i might go back to the ctr cover, havnt decided yet, time will tell

StrangeShadow
11-11-2003, 01:20 AM
cool, np man, thanks. If you want cf, I bet someone might start mass producing these soon, I just saw a number of cf stuff for the k-series engine in a mag resently, I think they were on a rsx that was being compared to the hasport si, if that helps any. =)
Your car looks great, "thumbsup"

I love the wheels. Truely a timeless classic style. They look more like the Racing Hart C4 (1pc) then the RH Evo C2 do. What's the offset? Gives it a nice lip and dish look. What size tires?

super_si_45
12-15-2003, 06:26 PM
thanks alot man, unsure of the offset, but, the tires im runnin are 205/40s, but its almost that good ol' time for some new rubber so im considering switching to 215/45's, i havnt decided yet though

YooShin
12-15-2003, 11:01 PM
Awesome. My brother has Nitto Neogen 215/45s (on 17" 5Zigen Becketts) and they're great. I've had everything from various Yokos models to Goodyear Eagle GTs on my 94 Accord coupe and the the Neogens are by far the best. The strait line traction is solid and the cornering is scary. We've been hesatent to push the limits on the curves. Draw backs: You'll hear/feel every little thing on the road and they feel like they could "snap" at the limits. Let us know when you get new rubber bands.

super_si_45
12-16-2003, 06:48 PM
ill keep posted, this is also pretty shady, but im also considering switching rims all together to a set of the 18" konig imagins (opal)old school, but classic as well and damn sexy imo, just to add a little more custom look with the big rims, the only way i will though is if it keeps the same height (ill go with a 205/35 if i go 18s) and if it tucks better under the fender? any of u guys got any input?
also, whats yalls take or opinion on the stoptech big brake kit for our cars? is 328mm that much bigger than stock? (ill prolly start a thread on this in another forum but wth)

super_si_45

yea it fit, looks 1000000000 times better with just the center piece cut out IMO. with the center in there looks decent, with the whole insert taken out, 100% death curdling hideous, again, IMO :D

yeah that was me. My EP hatch was back at work. It is a stock Satin Silver hatch. I have AEM CAI but that is it. I am getting ready to drop some dough on it though, but i dunno if i want to go with exhaust and Hondata, or a TypeS head and ECU:o

your thoughts?

y dont u go boost? ;)

i would personally prolly just do the hondata and exhaust for now, see how u like it then later on, y not upgrade and do the others? :D
oh, if ur interested in exhaust maybe we could work something out if ur interested in my hks?

silver ep hmmm, u work off of forrest ln., by shilo? i saw a silver one parked close to the appliance place there a couple of days ago., u should make it out to one of the meets sometime man

well i can find a typeS head for about 1000 and boost will cost in the 2000-2500 range. Even hondata and exhaust will cost about 1300. Was the HKS what you had on the car when i saw it a couple days ago?i work off of coit and 635. when and where are the meets? just LMK and i will go:cool:

nah, im goin with the VIS oem, top of the line IMO

03CivicSi
04-06-2004, 06:10 PM
VIS is for show mainly.. It is heavier and easier to crack.
Fiberimages weighs the lightest, under 10lbs.. and it's basically indestructable, if you go to the fiberimages website they have 3 videos of them testing their hoods. One was dropping a full rim with tire on it repeadedly.. the second was a guy jumping on it.. and the third was a car driving over it... and the hood bent but did not leave a crack, or even a scratch, it was pretty sweet. They're two different kinds of poly-resin, VIS is the heavier one, again, and all VIS parts are more for show than performance and reliablity.
Some good $#!T right there on Fiberimages part.. if you want top-o-the-line they're deffinetly the way to go man. :)

Just trying to help..
