No, HFP stands for Honda Factory Performance. The car does not have an A2, just a lip kit, drop, and wheels as far as I know.... I still hate the headlights and tal lights... other than that, looks aight!

dont forget the 5lug.

i think the front lip looks fine in the front, but when it turns the corner it has a little cut out for the front signal lights; that is really cheap looking. the side skirts are nice too, but why add that vertical section in front of the door...again, cheeezy.

The lip looks great, I will be scooping that one up, as with the rear wing. But I plan to get the more subtle '04 regular Si side sills. the wheels......ohhh are fantastic, I'm just surprised Honda choose a S#@%&ty tire like the ES100 for oem but hey whatever..whatever right?

What do you mean by that statement?

Those tires look like 225/45/17 from what I can see on the sidewall. Makes me second guess my decision to go with 205 width tires because I thought they would rub under hard cornering. What's wrong ES100's? It's probably the best tire in its class.

the body parts are basically the ones in the GFX kit that came to Canada this summer, any of you guys know if if those parts will be available to existing owners of EP's ?. My guess is you wont be able to buy the parts separately, it will just be available as a new model. Cant tell what is going on with the rear lower lip not sure if that is the same as we got or not.

What's the point of a 5 lug wheel, if they didnt increase the brake size who needs 5 lugs. I would have been impressed if they gave larger brakes to go with the 5 lugs.

It looks ok...but I think for the price (2000-4000) I won't be putting any of that crap on my car.

I run 225-45-17 with no rubbing. They have yet to scrub anywhere!!

They also use 5 lugs when bumping up the HP on a vehicle. (Not trying to start rumors though.) But in this case they might have use the 5 lug in order to slap on an existing rim and tire package, those rims are also available for the HFP package of the Accord. Link to Accord HFP rim and tire. Hate to dissapoint you, but never did he say anything about the type r, it is just a fact that 5 lug can handle more power than 4.

I'm just setting the facts straight....I don't want to see another post about the Type R or the 2004 Si and what it might/could/would be.....there are like 1,000 posts about it already.

If anybody makes enough power out of our car (a3) that somehow breaks the wheels due the lack of one more lug...then I will buy them dinner....because 4 lug is plenty strong...
5lug is a status thing..

its just "cool"

and has more options for wheels....wheels that 90% of you will never be able to afford, nor want to put on a civic.

It doesn't look that bad. Those rims are like the ones that comes on the TSX which looks tight as a mug:eek: thats all im digging. With those wheels and a CTR kit I would have to call it quits :D

My reaction: "Oh shit...." (in a good way)

I haven't liked the details of the body pieces so far. The front lip looks unfinished (nonfunctional ducts & cutouts for the markers aren't good), the skirts are more cluttered than the practically-perfect CTR skirts, and... well, they just did it right the first time with the CTR.

The headlights & taillights are a moot point since they're coming on the regular EP.

But those wheels -- shit, I might like them more than the CTR rims. They make the whole thing look palatable. If it weren't for those details with the body stuff, it would be pretty nice.

i highly doubt that any person who already owns a ep3 will be able to purchase any part of the kit. I tried to purchase the rims off the hp civic coupe and they told me that they aren't for sale. the ones that are left are only for repairs for people who have the hp coupe

Funny Thing about the 5 lug is that, you add more un needed weight to the car, and actually loose Wheel horsepower due to it. 5 lug is just a status thing. wowee THe only good thing i see in 5 lug is being able to bolt on the CTR rims with no problem.

Holy Jesus! 5-lugs?!?! Wait... It's a Honda Civic. Don't get me wrong, I really like my Si. I just don't get the obsession with 5-lugs. I don't know where everyone heard that an extra bolt is going to make that much difference on a 160 hp car. And for everyone who puts enough power/money into the engine so that it would require 5-lugs... buy a better car to begin with. You're completely missing the point of owning a Honda. Not even the Lotus Elise has 5-lugs, and it can kick the shit out of an Si, among other cars, and it's a $40k car. I also can't justify putting much money into an econosporter, so maybe I'm in the wrong forum.

Again, my Si is a ton of fun and I don't regret buying it at all. I would just like to see an end to the lower-income jokers' 5-lug obsession. It's like jerking off to a porn star, you can't handle it and you don;t need it, not to mention, you really can't easily get it.

Honda cares about the import enthusiast. It's just they are listening to the wrong people. thats why the new 04 Civic has euro tails, projector headlights, and wowweee 5 lug. So now everyone can steal RSX rims and put them on their Civic. Honestly The Si is a nice car, but in the end its still a Civic, get over it.

17" with the HFP kit that is available. Thats probabably why they have 5 lugs.. know this because I have the brochure for the 2004 Civic Si.

After calling Customer service at honda and bugging the lady, she told me that the cars will be available for purchase on November 2nd. So I jammed to my dealer an started the process to order mine.

There is two reasons I want a 5 lug. First is I am looking to do a stage II or III turbo to mine and with the Turbo and the price of the car I am going to have a car total under $25,000 in total that will be able to have some very good fun on and off the track.

The other reason I want a 5 lug is the rims that are out there for the 5 lug.

I am going to see when the 04's come out if I can just replace the hub or if I need to do the front axels too like the RSX coversion. I just want the 5 lug for just incase becasue with a stage III I think the HP at 20PSI is somewere in the 400-500 range. I have even heard up in the 600 range.

who the hell sells turbos in stages, this isn't gran turismo buddy. Plus even if your pushing 20 pounds which i doubt you ever will. You still won't need 5 lug. It's just for looks, and its the biggest waste of money next to aluminum wings.

Stage I
Just turbo and other external parts

Stage II

Same parts as a stage I but with new rods, pistons, and cams to take the higher boost

Stage III

Same as II but with sleaves and more intermal parts to the high end boost.

Agreed. I think that whole FPK kit is lame. What is so "performance" about it? They might as well slap on an aluminum wing to go along with all the other "performance" accesories.

Well said. If I wanted a RSX I would have waited a little longer I would have bought one but I just like my SI and I want a Turbo add on. I have heard about snaping the studs with the 4 lugs with the higher HP too. I have seen this with trucks. If you take a look at trucks as they get larger so do the amount of lugs for the displacment. I just do not want to go to the track and brake off a wheel doing a burn out.

That is because TRUCKS have big displacement engines that make alot more torque than your Si does. And as all hondas are concerned, they make NO torque.
