well i didn't dyno my car yet. but peeps that have the same kit as me got 13.6 with 9 psi.

this other guy got 215 whp, 196 tq @ 11psi

HOw difficult is the K20 swap into the em? Sorry for the noob question, but I'm honda illiterate. I've always loved the look of the ems (was considering buying one before my spec), but they were soooo under powered. But i guess the turbo makes of for that one :D

How much did the k20 into the em swap run him? Was it a straight forward swap or did he have to bang out the engine bay to fit?

wow only 215 boosted? what do the ems come stock? 130? if so thats a good boost...sorry dont follow the ems

not straight swap. i would have to say lots of work.
Parts needed for K series motor swap installation for 2001+ civic coupe and sedan


- K20A2 or K20A3 (from Civic Si) Engine With:
- AC compressor
- alternator
- P/S pump or idler pulley (from Civic Si)
- wiring harness
- exhaust manifold and catalytic converter

- ECU
- Transmission and starter
- intermediate shaft
- Axles from either 02 Civic Si or 94 up Integra GSR (we used 02 RSX with RSX knuckles and hubs)
- RSX or 02 Civic Si subframe
- Hasport ESK1 bolt in mount kit (as of this time the kit will not work with the K24)
- Hasport ESKWH conversion wiring harness
- RSX shifter assembly and cables
- 02 Civic Si radiator and fans (although the RSX will fit with some trimming around the radiator cap opening in the grill)
- 02 Civic Si upper and lower radiator hoses (RSX are longer and may kink)
- RSX throttle cable
- RSX fuel line, brake booster line and purge line
- RSX AC line from compressor to condensor
- RSX clutch lines from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder
- Custom AC line from compressor to evaporator (Hasport should have one available by April)
- 90 Accord negative battery cable

- If you want powersteering:
- RSX high pressure powersteering hose and return line
- 92 Civic P/S resevoir w/ bracket and a section of hydraulic hose to go from the pump to the resevoir

well he did the install with his homie. he got half of the ep from the junkyard for cheap at san diago. so that came with the motor,subframe, he used the si mounts etc........

damn thats not bad for $3000. IMO I think the Si shoudl have been in the coupe form. If it was I think I'd be driving one right now.

So I'm guessing this swap would be harder to do than say a B series swap into a 96-00 civic platform?

oh and all you need to make the swap bolt right in is the subframe from an si or rsx. very easy from what i have heard

That's what I had before my SI, I had an Silver 02 EX, def slow as balls. If it came with an SI engine in it, You know I would be drivin one today.

But you know we wouldn't be the special people that we are if our cars looked like every other civic on the road.

I live in Jersey and I have only seen about 2 or 3 other cars like mine on the road.Every where else I looked I could see the Lx or Ex.
