well i have a gauge that needs to be connected to dash lighting to glow....whats a good easy to reach and tap wire for this????

well you could tap into the ashtray light...

Where are you mounting it?
I've always found it easiest to tap into the fuses. You pretty much
have your choice of what you want it to turn on with (i.e. radio,
interior lights, etc) and you can buy some fuse taps for $0.50. Not
the cleanest solution, but it works.

I got it guys, thanks!!!! i tapped it into the light wire for the cruise control switch. i tried fuses but that way it stayed lit all the time and i just want it lit when the headlights are on.
