Hi all,

Ugh ... driving home tonight I noticed some flurries ... a little early for this crap, no?

Anyways, for those of you who are fortunate enough to get dumped on each winter, what size snow tires do you run ... 185/70R14 on 14"s or 195/60R15 on 15"s?

I'm leaning towards getting 14"s because they are cheaper ... but I'm a little concerned that it will handle like absolute crap ... opinions?

I'm runnin a 185/70/14 on steel wheels , ran them last winter and was very impressed . The rolling diameter is pretty damn close , the rubber is cheaper , and the narrower but well planted contact patch makes for damn fine traction . I was unstoppable last winter .

Oh yes , and handling was not compromised by much , sure its not as near precise or sporting , but good winter rubber is as good or better than most medium grade all seasons .

IM a picky bastard , and ive been very happy with the 14" .

Tires make such a huge difference on this car it seems ... good to know 14"s will do the trick ... cheap too!

Cool ... exactly the feedback I was looking for ... thanks.

I am running on 185 70 14s, they are absolutely great in the snow, on the highway in the dry, they kind of feel like you are driving around on clouds compared to the falkens that i am used to. . . .just don't push the car real hard and know that they are not going to perform as well as a summer or even an all season tire on 15+ size wheels and you will be fine.
