anyone else think our 4th is slow? or is it my car.
i was running my friend's 00si and he just took off at like 80mph while my rpms were just crawling dang.. i dunno if it's just my car. i hope not.

4th pulls alright to me. i can get up to 90 pretty quick. then again my comparison is my old truck. what i don't like is that dip in power around 3.5 to 4k.

4th shouldnt be a problem, but if you're on the heavy side with a 4 banger, then expect a slower car

What speed were you at exactly??? I can sometimes drop it in 3rd around 80mph. Plus the 00si has a higher rev so he probably most likely took off on you in third.

we were at about 65-70.. and he said he dropped it to 4th too... he took off where as i just kinda sat there.

If ya'll were at 65-70mph you could have easily have dropped it in 3rd. and I really doubt he dropped it in 4th if you "just kinda sat there". Im pretty sure he dropped it into 3rd. I feel 4th pretty strong once in 4th after maxing 3rd out. Even 5th pulls strongly to me once I get to fifth. Maybe you should try this again and drop it in 3rd and see what happens..hehe. :D

You guys have to remember that the 99-00 holds 3rd till 87-89 mph, while we hit 4th at 80-82mph.So while we shift, they are still going.Sorry but i hate the gearing.I liked the b16s better.

Joe, are you trying to say you accelerate faster with the clutch out?

I call BS
