Anyone here blow up there motor on boost yet???? just want to know. And was anyone able to convince the dealer that the turbo kit is a "bolt on Performance part"????;)

ive been through 7 buick 231s (long story) so far but never lost any boosted engines:confused:

i hit redline like 5 times a day, and then a couple on high boost, like 9 lbs. but it hink 7 is the safe the number. no probs and car works like a charm

I am still debating looks like the K20A3 likes boost. Maybe maybe not going to have to wait a couple more months to see.

I will prob go out and get a late 80's Jap car to fix my boost fixation:cool:

I'm running about 9.5 psi (boost guage reading) right now. i have hit the rev limiter in EVERY gear (including 5th) multiple times. I've had my turbo in for 1.5 months now and have put about 3000mi on the car in that time (most of them at high speed ;) ). NO PROBLEMS. i think I'm a good example too, cause most of the people turbo'd now don't put about 2000mi a month on their civic like I do.

that's a negative good buddy. I have other means of "boost" tee hee. Turbo wouldn't be practical for my kind of driving(very high mileage).
