Just called Jspec regarding their k20a-r on ebay. The auction states the tranny is a 5-spd. They confirmed it was a typo and just haven't changed it. It IS a 6-spd w/ lsd. If you want to just buy one and screw all the hassle w/ bids, they sell them for $6k, which includes motor, tranny, ecu, wire harness, subframe, and axles. Shipping is $350. I dunno if someone posted this info already but for those that don't know, now you do :D I'm almost there.............. mmmmmm type r

Here's the actual auction:

They put their motors up periodically on ebay, I see them going for pretty cheap every now and then. Still, they usually have reserves on them, this one must have been really low. I think if it stays low over the next few days......

Actually, it had no reserve, unless the reserve was less than $1000.00.... I bid for a while, but I gave up and changed my mind... needing close to 100 octane doesn't sound fun.

You don't need 100 octane or close to that. 91 octane is just fine for the k20-r. Shawn Hillier of Pit Crew/JDMHondaparts has a k20-r, cai, exhaust, and hondata running 91 pump gas. He isn't detonating or pinging. This was also confirmed by Shawn Church of Church Automotive. Don't believe all this crap people are spreading around. You can call them yourselves if you like. PM me and I'd be more than happy to give their numbers. Both these guys have a real solid understanding of the k-series. HTH.

What makes you think that? Please don't tell me that you don't know the difference between the octane ratings that they use in Japan and the ones that we use in the States.
