FINALLY I had time to use an orbital buffer on my car.
It's a Black & Decker (no, not Porter Cable.. yet) 6" orbital, about $30 at Target, including a sponge wax applicator pad and two wooly buffing pads.
I squirted some Turtle Wax 100% carnauba wax on the applicator, applied, then used both pads to buff -- one to take off most of the haze, and the other to finish. I finished the rest here & there with microfiber cloths (where have those been all my life?!?).
DAMN it looks good now! Makes me wonder why I haven't done this before.
---- The question:
Did I hear correctly that the applicator pad should be thrown away, while the buffer pads can be washed & reused a few more times?
