Hey all,

What are the benefits of having lower tie bars? As I am on stock suspension, would I notice a difference in the handling of the car? Just trying to gain to info. and decide whether or not to purchase.

Happy Friday!

You won't really notice that much of a difference with *just* the
tie bar. If you go with the Progress combo, where you get a sway
bar and the rear lower tie bar, you will notice a difference. Not
major, but enough.

IIRC, the tie bar helps relieve some of the stress/pressure put on
the swaybar and endlinks. Just helps tighten up the rear suspension
in general, but it's not a day and night difference.

yeah, you only need one if you have a super fatty rear sway. i have one for bling. ;)

All it does it keep a thicker rear anti sway bar from ripping or flexing the rear crossmember. It does nothing in terms of feel

Thanks All. I forgot to clarify that I am on stock suspension in regards to springs/struts, however I do have the CTR rear sway and Neuspeed X-Brace. I was curious as to whether or not the addition of tie bars would compliment my current setup (performance wise).

i would think you'd need the rear lower for sure with a ctr rear sway and stock suspension. if you had stiffer springs then maybe you could get away without it.

I had a feeling they were more than just for cosmetics:) Since it's the same diameter as the Progress rear-sway, can a person order just the tie bar thingy?

I'd say go with no names from ebay. The reason I am saying this because DC is made by sme cheap stuff. Could easily be bent. No name brands and Skunk2 is pretty similiar. Both ends could spin to make the fitting better. Why pay the extra 1 bill for a name? I'm going with the no name one. As for Spoon, it looks better built than Skunk2, just the design of the bar I like more, but both are not what I'm looking for. Was thinking of Skunk2 and Spoon before, but after seeing pics of em, I'd go with no names on ebay. Until the day I find a solid piece I will stick with my no name, once it come.

I mean solid (like Spoon's bar) by the bar not being able to adjust and two long bolts (like Skunk2's design) and go straight though and bolt tight. The day will come, it will......
