I have that issue at home, good numbers. Very positive outlook for our ride.

"Pros: The K-series engine is turning out to be a valuable commodity in the aftermarket world. For one, it's got JMD counterparts, and two, the engine has been proven to make 230 hp with mild bolt-ons."

Not that I believe that with mild bolt-ons we will produce consistant 230 to the wheels.

Which bolt-on's are you refering to, to get to 230?

The numbers that were given in the article were closer to the flywheel horsepower than the wheel hp. It says it in the article on the last page of the article in a little white box in the center of the page. I dont know why they even post those numbers. That setup is pretty close to mine though.

I don't know, that's what was said in the article. I didn't believe it. Also I agree with you Silverstreak, flywheel reading.

Two points about that article:

1/ When they say the K-series motor is capable of "230hp with minor bolt-ons", they mean the Type-S motor.

2/ They could have saved a lot of money if they bought a $100 mid-pipe instead of a $720 Apexi exhaust. Similar gains at a fraction of the cost.

Dont forget that they mentioned this;
"We found out that in two-wheel-drive mode the Dynamic Test Systems dyno actually reads a little higher than a Dyno Jet."
