OK, i know how everyone complains about the grip of the stock tires, but i believe thats mostly complaints about dry traction. ive found that the stock tires grip pretty good for stock, all-season tires in the rain, now, theyre not high performance by any means, but they are definitly better than the Firestones that were stock on my coupe.

I'm anxious for a good 2-4 inch blanket of snow on the roads. They are pretty "knobby" for a stock "sporty" all-season tire. Anyone had any experience in the snow with the stock tires and the stock coupe tires in snow? I was surprised by the Firestones in the snow, and Im hoping that these Michelins are a little better.

We'll see!

I drove in the snow Friday night, conditions were terrible and there were cars in ditches on the side of the Highway. Contrary to what everyone says about our stock tires, I think that they are terrible in the snow. They had very very little traction when starting from a stop. (The tires have around 14000 kilometers on them)

I made the same mistake as you, but we don't even have the MXV4 Plus. We have the somewhat crappier, MXV4:

Such a crappy tire that Tirerack doesn't even talk them up. I guess the policy is, "if you've got nothing good to say, say nothing."
