Well, i was jackin around one day and placed a bid for a AEM CAI v2 on ebay but then it said I was outbidded.. so i forget about it. I get an email today saying I've on the bid! $214. Seller has 100% positive feedback, although there's only 7 total feebacks. This was really unexpected as I was planning to get the Injen CAI for around $210. So the question is... should I? Good deal?

IMO, it's just a glorified SRI in EP3 and base DC5 applications. with the A3, gains aren't much more than a regular SRI and less than a CAI. one guy on Club RSX even saw next to no gains (avg. 1 hp/1 tq throughout the powerband) with his V2. so i don't think it's worth it from what i've read.

but, it's ultimately your call.

no waste of money. go with injen cai or aem cai or just buy used sri's for cheap to save some cash

That's what I thought, even though it will fit. I think you might have to work the hoses to fit right. Does seem like a waste of money, you will learn that saving (certain products) is key to good modding. Unless your loaded :D In that case give me some, I got like six kids. They all need braces, and new shoes

Ya be careful, AEM told me that application was not out yet. You may get a V2 from a type S RSX and the bend may be wrong...

The seller says the part number on the manual matches the part number on AEM's website for the 02-03 civic si. I've requested a pic of it. Stay tuned..

guess i'll find out, right? If it's not for the ep3, my friend has an rsx-s and he said he'll buy it off me.

Manual looks legit! Maybe he got one ahead of time for promo. I called AEM and they said its about another 2 weeks to a month before its released....

thanks chuck. i hope aem doesn't make any changes to it before then. the seller says he got it through Performance Center Wholesale (www.performancecenterwholesale.com). He was very nice and quick to respond to my questions. And the "glorified" sri is on a ups truck on its way here. :P

I got my AEM V2 a few weeks ago... it is NOT worth, it makes the car louder with no improvement in performance. I am going to do a ram air setu with a cf hood.
