I'm thinking about the Apex'i Dunk 115. I had it on my last hatch and it was beautiful.

Question: Is anyone reluctant to weld on an aftermarket muffler like the Apex-i N1 in place of the stock one? Is it true the original will never fit the same way again?

- I bought the N1 off of a friend, he bought it for his Jetta, paid close to 3 bills for it. I bought it off him (he got one to many speeding tickets and needs money) for Drum rolllll................... 150 bucks :) .. Im VERY HAPPY!! ITS a quality piece, the welds are FREIKIN awesome, its VERY light weight, and JDM to boot!

- Since this is the non turbo application N1, the tip is 3.5 inches not big at alland the canister is huge as well. It will look great on my car IMO :)

I didn't care much for the sound it made on my 00' EX (although I got used to it) but it looked awesome coming out at an angle and the piping was really strong and durable. Apex-i makes excellent products but you end up paying for that...my N1 cat-back for the 2000 EX shipped was around $575 or so...but I really enjoyed it and found it made alot of useable power.

I don't think I could ever go back to the fart can, like I had on my ex. I'd rather keep this exhaust...the gains from other exhaust for over 500 aren't worth it. I'll just save that cash for a FI....that's why I've also decided to stay away from getting a header. If I go turbo, whey bother, and if I go supercharger....hopefully kamikaze will have a good header for our cars.
