2nd one is not bad... It would look hot in black... Interesting pic... Our seats are better :D ;)

I wouldn't have bought one if it looked like that chop.

Intresting.

I like it. It's not to bad but I'm used to my EP.

Not bad...I think the only "problem" with the look and design of our car is that the hood is too short (giving the minivan appearance). But then again...we don't need a huge front end as there's already plenty of space for the engine and what not.

I like the second one better. Maybe in 2005?;)

#2 looks more like a VW to me for some reason. I like our body lines better, especially on the front fender.

why use that style for the new hatch when you can just go back a few years and get it? the idea of the 02 civic hatch was to be new, not to look exactly like the older hatch versions. nice chop tho.

call me crazy but i like the original better. I like how the hood is short and sloped. Just give me the rims from the second one.:)

Our bumper could definitely use a better look... more aggressive, integrated driving lamps, etc. That said, I'm unconvinced that using the standard Civic lamps or grille flatters the EP's style. It is convincingly 'shopped, but I don't really like it.

I like #2 better, however, I'd like to see it with the turn signal indicators housed in the mirrors.

While I do see some GTI in that "THING" it reminds me more of these:

http://images.autotrader.com/images/2003/10/27/139/142/630427076.139142188.IM1.MAIN.565x421_A.562x421.jpg

With the"longer then the rest of the body hood" and ugly lines.

I was thinking the same thing, but the hood isn't ridiculously out-of-proportion like the Z3.

just to clarify the BMW above is an M Coupe, the M Roadster is a convertible, and i Love the look of the M Coupe

the chop makes it look longer and lower, front bumper look most like a GTI

overall, i like it(i know, i already said that)

The side skirt on pic #2 is was gives the VW appearance, and the long, nonsloping hood.

KickerSi
11-15-2003, 09:14 AM
Ok, if Honda came out with a SI that looked like that, my car would be getting traded in sooo fast. To me the chop looks like the next gen EK. It has some of the body lines of an EK but has the new style look of the EP, it is so badass. I want to do a front-end conversion now.

BlasTech
11-15-2003, 09:49 AM
I love the looks of the EK, but I cant help thinking there must be a lower drag coefficient for the EP style.

i kinda like it... how about with si lights

11-15-2003, 01:38 PM
i like the origional #2 better, but i think the hood is alittle s2k ish.. if the hood was alittle shorter i think itd have more resemblance to the older h/b's and fit in the lineup better. traditionally the hb is supposed to have the frame of the coupe, idk why honda had to change the whole bodystyle.

Yeah, also with the longer front. There would be more room in the engine area to work in :D

I saw this p-chop on VWVortex, no wonder it looks so much like a GTI. I like it personally. I think they should of borrowed some more styling cues form the S2000. I don't like our front bumper, but the car is awesome. I'm glad I got it.

I'm embarressed now for calling that thing a M Roadster.:o

Still, I love the "Breadvan from hell" look!

i may be wrong that the one pictured is not an M Coupe, but ive only ever seen the Z3 coupes in M form, so i didnt know they existed, so i was partially right

No no, just because u didnt know they existed doesnt mean that you are partially right... I see the Z3 coupes quite a bit... I believe the only visual differences are wheels, exhaust, fender grills, and emblems... Anyone got any clue how fast the M coupes are?

oldschoolimport
11-16-2003, 04:18 PM
all I was saying is what ever that red BMW was, looked like a damn clown shoe. does not matter if its a coupe, roadster, van or suv. that very car will always look like a clown shoe to me. only if barnum and baily would use one, probably get 13 of em in it:D

#2 has the body lines more in resemblance to an M-coupe ('98-'02). EDIT, didn't read past page 1 before posting.

#2 looks pretty disgusting. I for one like our 'unique' look, and how it's easily distinguishable from other 7th Gens.

I like the chop better than the real thing, and putting the ep lights on it ruins it. those chopped lights are kickass, wherever they're from.

KickerSi
11-17-2003, 05:21 PM
Is there any way to do a front end like the #2 chop? Would it be bolt on or lots of fabricating? I really like the way it looks and I cant stop thinking of what it would look like in real life.

That chop is NASTY.

Its the front end of the sedan folks. You actually like it?
