Can someone tell me what went wrong with this guys intake? :) :confused:

"AEM short ram w/cold air extention, NEUSPEED strutbar, 4-1 DC header, carbon works oil cap, ram air piping w/ a secret cold air blower..."

Where's the oil cap? And since when does AEM make a cold air extension for our SRI's? And why would someone get an SRI only to add an extension that just makes it look like a V2?

or did the guy buy the wrong CAI, maybe thats for the EX? and it just so happened to fit in our car? or maybe its for the CTR?

whats wrong is that the guy got ripped off. he bought a cold air extrension that only changes the direction of the filter.

It might do something, it moves the filter further away from the exhaust manifold. I'd rather have it where it is in that picture than where the stock SRI location is.

after looking at the picture again, i believe that he has a turbo. note the size of the tube with the filter showing.

Or maybe the guy installed his CAI wrong!!! LOL!!!:D and then in a dumbass attempt to fix it just put an extension on it!

Looks like a bov just above the D on the strut tower bar. I think it's got a hair dryer mounted to that engine. :D

Hmm, if you had a turbo, why the hell would you use a cold air intake attached to the throttle body? I mean, the turbo would just spool up and shoot hot gas out the side, not anywhere near the intake manifold. My guess is, he stole a turbocharger and bov off some dsm and duct taped them together onto the back of his engine.

I think what he meant by a secret blower is that thing you see on TV that attaches to the CAI. It's supposed to give 1lb of boost or something like that. Yup that's right, 1lb!!! As for the intake I dunno what the hell went wrong there. Nice find.
