I would like to know if I change the guage cluster will it effect the reading of the miles? will the odometer read the milage from the old cluster or from the new?

i blew a ground wire in my gauge cluster awhile back ago and had the dealer replace it. It started back at 0 and the dealer put a sticker on the inside of the driver's side door with the original milage. So maybe not.

thats because you got a new cluster. if you get a used one, it will reflect the miles from the car you got it from.

I just want to know because I got my car for super cheap, brand new. I paid 16,500 for mine with 30 miles on it. I think the dealer rolled back the odo.. dunno why I got it so cheap because all the other ones in the showroom were 19+

I was just reading up on digital odometers on howstuffworks.com and they said that the odo is controlled by the ECU, i wonder if honda is an exception
