I keep mine up, with the headrests off since they obstruct alot of your view.

I used to keep my back seats down also, BUT they deform the seat cushions a little after a while.

yeah the head rests really block alot of the view.

When the back seats are down, they then block the rear speakers. (don't they???)

I leave both up, but I removed the head rest on the rigth rear seat since I bring it down to put my hockey gear in there when I play hockey.

hey does it bother you that when you push the front seat forward to get to the back seat and the front seat slides back that the tilt on the back goes back to the original position. I have to keep telling the passenger to recline it back because it freaks me out when they sit up so straight.

Yea; you would think since honda advertises the passenger seat as having a memory position that would also include the seat-back; not just the bottom portion position. I think that's kinda lame. Especially on the driver's seat. It's nice to just throw something back there by tilting the seat back forward... but NOT on THIS CAR. The last two door I had remembered the seat back position. For a car in this price range, I expect it--it's really lame Honda left that out.

As for the rear head rests, I keep mine in since I don't fold them down much. I think they look too cool to remove and don't really block that much to the rear.

I did the same as soon as I got the car home. They'll probably sit in my basement for as long as I own it.

I leave them in, and my seats up. And that whole passenger seat thing, with it going straight up, i totally know what your talking about man. I'm constantly saying " y'know the seat tilts back", or "tilt the seat back" And the people just look at me like i'm a freak, or they sit in it , straight up and say " oh its fine" It freakes the hell out of me. I wish it would go back to a sane position instead of straight up and down 90 degree angle. Thats my biggest gripe with the interior.

The canadian version of the EP has no seat memory or height adj. that would be nice. At least something. Am gonna try removing the rear head rests, and see how that is.

BarracksSi

With my '86 Si, I left the seats down all the time. But, in the new one, I feel that they're good enough for passenger use, and it's nice to have a cover in the very back (which is actually just big enough to carry my tuba without its case).

Since the seats are up, I leave the headrests attached. Visibility is good enough for me, it's better than letting them roll around the interior, and besides, I'd rather not compromise the safety of anybody sitting back there. I drive well, but I don't trust the other people on the road.

Comparing with the 96-00 hatches:

While the new rear deck cover is a fraction of the wieght of the old one, the rear seat backs feel 2-3 times heavier... I'm gonna take them out to weigh them one day.

How the heck do you see over the dash board when you drive mac-daddy-style? I think that looks silly, but that's just my opinion. Kind of like "rice"--just something people do for looks, but actually lowers performance of the car (or in this case, your abilty to control the car).

Doesn't your neck get sore after having your neck at that angle for any length of time? I'm not trying to be a smart ass--seroiusly.

For what it's worth, I finally took a ride in my EP's back seat. Not even two days after getting to my parents' home in Nebraska, I said to my dad, "Hey, you drive -- I want to see what it's like to ride in the back!"

Th only problem for me was legroom -- everything else was just fine. In fact, my mom rode back there on a several-hour drive down to Kansas, and she fell heavily asleep.

If it's anything like my previous Si, the rear seatbacks would eventually flatten the bottom cushions. Relative to a person's body weight, the seatbacks don't weigh that much, but they would be pressing down for days, weeks, or even months at a time.

just wondering what how passengers are messing up ur shifting? are they proping their feet on the dash?

they are sitting with thier knees upright and just kind of sprawl thier leg at angle to were thier left knee rest right on my shift boot. Pretty obvious to see how this would effect driving if you ask me:rolleyes:

while speaking of back seats, does anyone get a clicking sound coming from around the right around that area?

when people sit on the right side of the back seat and i turn even a little bit there is a slight ticking like the car is settling or something. doesnt sound right. anyone?

As for the front seats i TOTALLY know what you guys are talking about.

I am one of those people who likes EVERYTHING uniform.

basically the front seats sit EXACTLY the same.

What i mean is...the recline and the front/back adjustments are identicle to one another.

as for the back seats....The head rests are a little obtrusive to my view...and having 5% tint doesn't help much either.

I'm gonna leave the headrests on though

I keep everything up and in. I guess it is mostly because I do not use my reveiw that much I use my side mirrors. I guess it is from towing so much and a stock mirror sucks so much compared to a racing mirror. If I could get a good looking racing mirror I might want to take out the back seats.

I completely understand the front seats business. I'm a little OCD, so I just can't take it if the passenger seat is like that. I'll reach over and adjust the tilt myself if necessary.

I keep everything up. There is a better view without the headrests, but I don't think it's a huge issue.

Back seats are usually always up unless I'm headed out to the gold course, which also makes me mad, because my dad can fit like 4 sets of clubs in the trunk of his 03 EX Civic without putting the seats down  , then I fold the smaller seat down. Both head rests are sitting in the closet along with my hatch cover, the p.o.s wood liner thing on the bottom, spare, jack and tools. The passenger seat...dont even get me started on that...I always keep the seat perfectly angled with mine, and if anyone gets in, I make sure to possion the seat to where i want it before they even sit down.

If you want to include the "wings" and have it fit all across the rear then you will have to split it, it won't fit thru the hatch. In other words, if you are tracing the stock carpet, you are in for a suprise
