alright i was reading the artical in compact car and it says that the si wiring and the type s wiring is the same excpt there is an extra wire coming out of the tranny for the revese lock silnoid if i am keeping the si tranny so i can use the si wiring also am i gona run into a problem with runing the 5spd tranny with out the 6th gear is the ecu gona throw a code because there is 6th gear or not run right

S800Racer has a k20a2 with a 5 spd. I dont think he came across any problems.

The less aggressive gearing doesn't keep the car in the v-takkk powerband when you redline and shift tho....the tranny and engine were made for each other IMO, doesn't make a whole lot of sense to swap one and not the other. They are compatible though, and i don't see why the engine would throw a CEL.

From what I understand, you wouldn't run into any problems. I don't know why you'd do it unless you were going to go FI though.
