What's the best dyno proven intake? There are so many intakes but which one gives you the most hp/tq? Which one has a factory fit?

Here's some install pages:

Comptech Icebox:

Injen:

Go fer AEM...

It really doesn't make much of a difference, it's juat a matter of taste. You're talking about a couple of horsepower difference at best. Any expensive intake you buy is going to fit halfway decent and sound cool, and give you a couple of HP on the top end. That said, it's pretty much accepted that the AEM and Injen CAIs are the way to go.

personally, injen is a pain to install with the fuse box relocation ect ect, but it does look way better than the aem.

AEM is my favorite except for the fact that they BS about the looks of the system.

They make it look like you get a nice system with AEM printed on the color coded flexible mounts with a basic graphic.

If you are unlucky what you get is a plain white AEM logo, a peice of black plastic for the mount, a dented tube, and a filter that doesn't have the AEM logo on it.

Sometimes I wonder if there are just knockoffs floating around or something, that's why you should buy from showstoppers or someone reputable

What the hell DOES it look like?

Showstoppers shows it like this, obviously an error or an ancient one.

But the one DownTheHatch got looks like this, with a white AEM logo and not that yellow multicolor sticker.

Confusing enough?

Injen CAI will give you the best results as far as making your car "faster".

Lots of noise and you'll get at best MAYBE 5hp.

Right on, Injen CAI has the best dyno results...hence why I have it in my EP.

injens the best imo. It's been showen that the comptech ice box isn't that great...it really is restrictive for a cold air intake for obvious reasons.

AEM sits upagainst a radiator hose when installed...heat soak anyone?
Injen goes away from the radiator and the intall is quite easy. Sometimes you don't even need to cut the hole bigger, as I've seen on some cars and how boostedsi and I installed his.

I just bought my AEM CAI from SSUSA last month. It has the multicolor metal plate logo.

Oh good I like that design.

Showstoppers has pretty quick sales so the stock rotates quickly, so I'm sure I'll get the newer version.

You really can't go wrong with either of them.

AEM and Injen both make great intakes, and dyno tests may or may not reflect real world driving situations.

I mean do you buy the Dyno tests for Short Runner designs like the DAC, AEM SRI, and V2 when they have the hood open and a fan blowing on it? That hood traps hot air and.....oh you know this already.

Which intake has the best fit without rubbing on other parts?

Is the comptech ice box covered by honda's warranty?

I've seen dynos where the comptech ice box beat out the AEM & Injen for 3rd gen integra GSRs but which one produces the most power for the Si?

I love the Injen! The only think i hate is the fuse box relocater. I was installing my header and my elbow was leaning on in. Guess what..it broke. The bracket only uses two of the six tabs. A new fuse box is $180. I got to fix the old one and make some straps that go under the box to the other side.

i think that the aem v2 goins the most hp on our cars. like 13hp or something like that.

I got injen. I love it. But the thing is that you have to cut a piece of your car. But it looks good.

What do you have to cut to install the injen?
