View Full Version : the new 2004 headlight eyelids? whats the deal...
So like the title says -- I saw the 04 catalog and it has this Si with some sick ass eyelids... but the parts people are clueless... anyone have any info? or part numbers? or prices? anything? anyone?

those are the actuall headlights, 04's get new headlights, just part of the housing

thats what the parts guys were trying to say -- but its not.. BOTH pics are of the NON HFP civic ... so it must be an add on part...

I think it is just part of the housing for the new '04 headlights. I have the new book on the '04 and I think it just depends on the angle that you look at the new lights. Sometimes you see the silver trim...other times you can't.

those are plastic ... they are additional, they are NOT part of the housing... who is with me here?

:) Sorry...looks the same to me. Guess we'll have to wait to see the '04 in person.
Check out the 360 view on the Honda website. When you put the Si exactly head on it looks like a silver piece added on.

ummm no its not, cause you see, you're using the old headlight housing to compare to the new one with the eyelids...
anyway, the housings are supposed to have reflective material all over, what is shown is not reflective, thusly, I don't think that's the way the ohusing comes.

Yeah...the pic on the left is of the '02-'03 headlight...the pic on the right is of the '04.

The answer:
I've seen these and the CTR projector ones in person (UK versions anyway) and they are all part of the headlight housing and not eyelids.
These are the 3 lens projector ones (on the CTR and higher spec civic range)

It looks like the pic you posed on the left is the 02-03 si, and the pic on the right is the 04. They are not eyelids, that is the actual ugly ass headlight coming on the new 04's.

yeah -- that was a slip --- the pictures above though are all 04s

those are plain old 04 headlights....it is the housing showing at that angle and with honda using photoshop to enhance it and give it the matching monochromatic look.....its just the way the do the brochures...just like all the cars have jet black windows because it makes them more appealing to the eye.....my friend does chrysler brochures and they do the same thing.....people come in asking for something that is in the brochure that does not exist.....so, those are just 04 lights....;)

I like them...I think they make the headlights look smaller. No offense but I've always thought the '02-'03s looked like they were always suprised...like some middle aged chic that had too much plastic surgery!

all except the one with the car cover look like glass to me ... the one on the car cover looks like plastic... its photoshopped overly well is the prob...

It's just the lights are silver and so is the car. I looked at it thinking the same thing at first, but I take way too many pics of my car and I notice the way that light can reflect. I don't doubt that they touch all the cars up either.

Definately not photoshopped or added on. Those are part of the housing. It's all in the lighting and the angle of the camera. I'm not a huge fan myself.
