Someone hit my car.

Sat night some kid in a 95 Civic DX wasn't paying attention when he was changing lanes.

I was in the far right lane, he was in the next lane over. I was cruising when he suddenly tried to merge into my lane. We were both doing about 40-45mph when it happened.

He hit and crushed my left fender and front bumper. I hit his rear quarter-panel and part of his rear bumper.

I'm surprised it isn't too bad. My fender was crushed in but the body line between the top of the fender and hood still have an even gap. Looks like its going to be a fender and some patch up work on my bumper.

Who's insurance is paying?

You can't really put plastic body filler on a plastic body part. If they try to tell you they can they are full of shit. Sue if they try to bondo it.

Watch out for the "Like and Kind/Quality Replacement" game with the fender, if it's not OEM it'll prolly have gaps and be pressed out of aluminum foil or something...

Find yourself a nice shop that isn't insurance reccomended, they hate that, because they can't pay the shop to do cheap repairs as easily.

My alignment is pretty bad too. I have about 2 deg of toe out.:shockm:

I just hope I dont have to replace the JDM bumper. From what a couple people have told me, it can be repaired fairly easily. :m:

Yeah, it's gonna be great too when the insurance does their original estimate and says 'Oh, OEM bumper and lip.....oh wait, these cars don't have a lip.' :banana:
Then they will order a JDM lip and try to fit it to a US bumper and go 'Oh crap, it doesn't fit....must be a different bumper too...' :banana:
Then their ass will be handed to them when they realize its a JDM bumper also and they have to spend about a grand more than they estimated for. :p

if it turns out to be his fault.... then might as well get a new one. when i got into an accident, i went from a usdm bumper to the jdm bumper... i only paid 30 bucks for my bumper.

I just destroyed both bumpers in an accident. I would LOVE to get the JDM bumpers. Where did you get yours?? My car is black also, do jdm bumpers come painted?
