I was curious since the power of the JDM is so much more, can I swap the 02' type-r internals with my 02' Si? I basically want to do the whole thing such as valves, valve springs, rods, pistons, cams, camshafts, etc. Is this possible? If so anyone know where I can get these JDM parts?

I am working on trying to find this out right now. I know that the block has the same deck height and displacement so a Type-R piston and rod swap should be easy. As for the cams it may be a straight swap on the intake side but replacing the exhaust cam may require head work. I am not even worried about the cams at this point because aftermarket ones will be availabe I am more interested in custom 11.5:1 pistons and Type-R rods to kick the power up.

-So far I have been able to discern that because we share the same rod length with the Type-r (139mm) the rod to piston ratio is ineffectual. With that the domed 11:1 pistons (T-S) or 11.5:1
(T-R) should drop right in.

More news TOVA is attempting to swap an S2000 head on a K series block.
