Most of you know I got in an accident, and my car is in the shop. I have to decide this by 3:00, thats 1 hour from now.

HELP ME NOW!

I am getting $220 per wheel for 3 damaged wheels.
I am getting $180 for my one busted tire.

That is a total of about $840 to put towards new wheels.

I think I know that I want to get Contintental Conti-Extreme Contacts which end up being about $330 shipped for 16's.. not sure if diff sizes cost more.

I'm thinkin of rotas... not sure what kind... c8, c10, grid, attacks, subzero... what do you all like best? What color on black car? NEED YOUR OPINIONS FAST! THANKS! ;)

PS JDM headlights cost $100 more than OEM lights, so if I can get wheels and tires for $750 I get free JDM headlights too. ^__^

Good choice on tires. Of those rims you list, I'd go with Rota Grids, Steel Grey with polished lip. ;)

I like those a lot, but I also like the sports bronze c8's or 10's. I just can't decide I dunno what to do. :crym:

I've got www.machiii.net, www.wheeldude.com, and www.jaydm.com to look at.

Machiii shows whats in stock, wheeldude only shows whats in stock, and jaydm doesnt' tell stock status, I think I need someplace that has them in stock.

We have 1 vote for grids. Who wants to convince me to go w/JDM bronze? I've got one kid tellin me grids are too straightedge for my car and that it would look best w/c8's in bronze. Anybody else?

I like the C8/C10s myself, but I'd get whatever is lightest.
Personally, if you're getting Rota's, you're not really going for
"looks/bling factor", right, so might as well get the cheapest/lightest. Just my opinion.

I think bronze/dark grey (gunmetal) would look just fine on black.

I am torn. I think myself, I like the grids w/polished lip like mr. dobbs says. But I think the C8/C10 is more natural for the car.

Rota C10 in sports bronze... 16's. ahhhhh yes? no? 10 minutes then I have to leave. Somebody give a final vote!

Ok guys.

16" Rota C10's in Sports Bronze
w/Continental Conti-Extreme Contacts

What tire size? anyone know? extreme contacts come in 205/55 and 225/50 but not 215/50 or 215/55 or 205/50. Are 225's safe? Are 205/55 ok? =\ I think c10 is 7" rim.

205/55

I think the 225 would rub the wheel well.

I second the 205/55. That's the size on the '04s.

Ok I was wrong about needing to know ASAP. I guess the shop isn't ordering the wheels, I am doin that myself then they will reimburse me w/insurance $$. Found out all the numbers and details of repairs and stuff. Damn $10,000 in damages.

But I still think I'll stick w/what I said earlier.

16" Rota C10's in sports bronze w/ContiExtreme Contacts in 205/55

Thanks for the tire size info. I guess if 205/55 is '04 stock size then it must work fine and stuff.

Thanks for all of your opinions. I think I will need to order the tires maybe tonight or tomorrow. I need to call showstoppers to find out about JDM headlights, maybe do that now. Maybe I should continue this in my crash thread instead of here. I don't feel like writing it all again though. :p

I am getting C-10's in white for my Blue EP.

Rota just kicks ass, it's a great value for wheels that look pretty good and are light.

And 16's always look good on the EP

What about the Rota Battle?

Too bad it doesn't come in 16"....

I'm starting to doubt again, I will probably order the Rotas... but I'm starting to think maybe that "royal bronze" color they have is nice? It's hard to find pictures, I found a picture once of a subzero in that color. It's shiny, almost gold on the inside, w/polished lip. But I really like the Grid's in gunmetal w/polished lip. I'm not sure. I should probably just stick with what you guys helped me decide on earlier. ;)

Ok so I still haven't ordered yet. On the verge of ordering some Enkei CDR-9's. w/Falken Ziex 512 cause there are no conti-extremes that fit the car effectively. =(

I used this tool to determine 205/50/16 is closest to stock size, and so I'd like to ge those. The falkens come in that size and are in stock at discounttiredirect, as well as the rims. So I can get mount balance and shipping for free.

Enkei CDR-9 16x7 40mm offset:

Falken Ziex 512 Performance All-Seasons:

For $840 shipped from Ohio (much less time in transit than CA). Do you guys like those? What do you think?

Tires are okay, rims are fugly, IMHO. Can't you get the 5zigen Fighters? Very nice rims for the price.

pedzola

:o

5zigen fighters are $171 each for 16's. Was hoping to keep total under $950. Lets see hmmm... that would bring the total to $1020.

You gotta set a limit somewhere. *shrug* $950 = $150 rims and $85 tires. Any better ideas? You like Rota Grids better than Enkei CDR-9? Maybe Enkei RS5 or RS6? =\

Thing is, cheap Enkeis are, well, cheap. I wouldn't use any of their rims, other than the RPF1 or NT03+M. The RS5 and 6 are heavy.

Rota Grids are a Volk TE37 copy, a nice looking rim:
