I believe it is exactly the same 200 hp at 8000 rpm. the rsx type R
is 220 hp at 8400 rpm.

What does the CTR run in the quarter mile stock? Or sorry 400M I forgot America is ass backwards compared to the rest of the world.:)Also whats the difference between HP and Brake HP. On a UK vid I watched the chick said the UK CTR had 197 Brake HP under the silver bonnett (hood), so I was only going by what I watched and not understanding the terminology:D

Brake horsepower (bhp) and horsepower are basically interchangeable terms. Brake horsepower comes from the method of determining an engine's power by measure the force required to stop it via a friction brake; thus, brake horsepower. As for the "under the bonnet" part, they call the hood the bonnet (and the trunk is the boot) and she would therefore be saying the engine made 197hp at the flywheel.

thanks for replying on the brake HP, I knew the Bonnett was the hood and so forth, but was curious as to why I was wrong on posting the UK spec CTR HP at 197. Thats what the woman said from that UK TV show, the show was kind of like a UK version of Motortrend TV. They compared the UK CTR,Clio sport, Toyota Corolla T-Sport, it was to determine which was the hottest hatch.

You were correct in saying the the UK CTR has 197 bhp
