how do u reset the ecu after oil change?

Hello ive been doin my own oil changes and i was wondering how to reset the ecu. Im not sure if i did anything but today when i started my car the maint required light was on longer then normal but it goes off. not sure y im just wondering if anyone has the same problem. i also put in a k&n air filter dismorning so is that is whats wrong? i disconnected the battery for like two minutes

are you wondering how to turn off your "maint. required" light off? if you are there have been lots of threads on this already. do a search in the general section. my guess is you have over 8k miles on your car and the light is just blinking at startup...

Yea dude i just went over 8000 But its funny because i also installed k&n air filter just before 8k so i was like shit what did i do

yeah that light has nothing to do with the oil changes or the filter. it is just there to remind you your 10k service is coming up. at 10k it will remain on. if you want to get rid of it you can do the search.
