I never really looked into Enkie wheels until recently. I want a 15x7 wheel and was looking at the new Slipstreams(now available in 15x7).

Their distributor(Cosmic) keeps telling me they aren't available yet. Rota says their distributors should already have them.

Every other affordable light weight wheel out there is 15x6.5(ex: konig heliums)

I was actually looking into two sets of Enkie wheels and was looking for some feedback on them. :D

I have a set of 17x8 RPF1s in the garage for an old car. They're awesome wheels, but two things: No center caps. This might not bother you. Second, keep in mind because the spokes don't extend all the way to the rim lip, they look smaller than they are. They're well-made and very high quality, but very business-like, low bling.

They were on your Matrix, right? :p

If they were 15's I would probably take them off your hands. I don't want anything bigger than a 16. :D

I found them on groupbuycenter.com for 725/set, good deal?

http://groupbuycenter.com/buy.aspx?id=13357

Would 225/45/15's rub the inner fender with a 35mm offset?

EDIT:

Found them here:

http://hubcap-tire-wheel.com/Enkei_wheels3.asp

for $230/set

So I guess 725/set($181.25/ea) is a great price. :)

Yup, on my Matrix. Bolt pattern is different, so they wouldn't do you much good. :p

I think I'm going to remove the tires, sell the rims on Ebay and get some 17s for my EP3, just to switch off between them and my Superleggeras. ;)

Not sure if those 225s would rub. Chunky is running 225/50-15s and I believe he had to roll his rear fenders.

$725/set is a great price, especially if it includes rings.

Here's them on my old Matrix:

Yeah, I'd get 16s if I were you. The 15s are tempting at less than 10 pounds, but they're going to look small. It depends on how hard-core you want to be. In 15x7 they're the lightest rims for the money, probably up to twice the price.

damn dobbs, am I that messed up, or is that a 2 door matrix. I have never seen a 2 door. must be a southern thing, 4 doors only. simplify the choices for the rednecks.:D

I say go for the RPO-2J. this is what they look on an EP except these are RPO-1 so they are a whole 2lbs heavier than the 2J's and have a differnt finish. Same wheels TEIN uses on all their testbed vehicles.

Do the Honda center caps snap in or do they have to be machined?

they snap right in, very easy. no modification. folks who see them and aren't too wise about the EP sometimes think they are stock.

Hm, nice wheels, but one quick question... Why are the rear brakes on the GReddy Civic so big? They're enormous compared to the front.
