I like the kit and color...not the wheels or rear lights.

yeah that's the thing that bothers me most too, there is no upper grill...I would probably have a body shop make one, the exact size of the oem one, that way I could put the oem one or the mugen one...without the upper one it does look a bit like the rsx mugen kit though.

i didnt like that kit at first, but its grown on me. i think that the lack of an upper grill makes it look more aggressive and less like a mini van... just my opinion. but how much is that kit running? whole kit and also just for the front bumper?

Showstoppers $1450 (shipped) www.showstoppersusa.com
- AsylumMotorsports $1499 www.asylumms.com/

check the asylumms site for cost of the front alone.

I think a lot of people were turned off by this kit at first, mostly because it was on a yellow, decal covered car. I think it looks great. The front end looks so much longer *BETTER* without the upper grill.

Looks like a wide body... how much more width does it add?

StrangeShadow
12-08-2003, 02:45 PM
not sure how much more is added...it is widebody though and fully functional kit. it's front is ralley style, the sides f1 style and the back I think 5-axis said their own design...but it's made to chanel air around the car...with all the vent things on the sides and front of the kit. =)

Urethane? (SP)

Anyways, it looks great. I don't care for the rims but the front end and sideskirts flow well.

I saw it posted on the UK ctr site too, I thought it said it was made from carbon (maybe I'm wrong). but I love the kit regardless. I loved when the yellow sparco si was on the cover of super street. but the rims suck suck suck, I'm not big on chrome rimskis.;)

I have this kit on my car. Click the link below for pictures:

02 Civic with 5 Axis kit (http://www.neuspeed.com/si/civicfeaturepage.html)

Troy Sumitomo at 5-Axis models did the design works, but Versus Motorsport is producing the kit. It consists of a front bumper cap, fender flairs, side skirts and a rear bumper cap. All parts are urethane. A rear wing is not included. I used the Erebuni Type R replica wing.

Quality on the 5-Axis/Versus kit is excellent. I'm running 18x7.5 RH Evolution wheels now instead of the 17" CP8R wheels shown on the car. With 215 width tires, it fill up the entire wheelwell without rubbing so the widebody kit doesn't make the wheels & tires look miniature.

Yes, I'm in Socal. I hit some of the Honda/Acura GTGs in Socal sometimes, as well as some of the shows, so I'm sure you'll bump into my car at one of the events this coming year.

How much was install/painting on that kit?

neuspeedcivic

Redronin:

It was $$ because Troy Sumitomo at 5-Axis Models did the paint and install for me. He's the same guy who did the yellow Pioneer Civic and also the RSX that was in the Honda booth at the SEMA show two years ago. If you have a good local body and paint shop, they will probably be less expensive. But if you are building a show car, then Troy is the king.
