The Accident/Crash Thread

Just curious. Seems to be so many accidents lately, I think we all need our own thread/support group. :blushm: So lets start with a poll... lets hear it.

EDIT: On Second thought, dobbs, thats for all the people who flame those who crash their cars with nasty comments about stupidity and insurance rates. ;)

Well I can't edit the poll. Maybe a mod could go and change the first choice. Essentially "So far, so good" is what I meant, and what those who voted so far took that to mean I assume.

Yeah I wanted a "Haven't crashed yet, hoping not to." Guess I'm a fool for clicking "never will" but I am certainly not PLANNING on crahsing my ep.

Both of my last two cars ended their elustrious careers as my rides by being totaled. Both crashes were the fault of the other driver and resulted in THEIR insurance paying me but it took a lawsuit in the first one and some serious negotiating on the second--second one of course led to getting my ep.;)

Sometimes I think about pouring a little out for my departed homies: 86 Cutlass 2 door (conservatively modified-87 GN can appreciate at least) and 95 Accord Cpe LX 4cy. 5spd. (astonishingly bone stock but great trasportation nonetheless).

The front and rear bumpers met on the other side of the tree.
Wish i could've stopped to take a pic, but i prolly would've caused an accident.

It's almost 1 month it is taking to get everything fixed... the big hold-up being all the wiring and little pieces. Whole dashboard being replaced.

About six months ago I tapped the rear of an f-350. No damage to him but his tr ailer hitch left a nifty little notch in my bumper:( . On top of that my driver's side headlight kinda shifted out of place, my hood is a bit bent, and there's a gap between my fender and hood.

I try telling myself that the hole in my bumper feeds air directly into my cai but...:'(

I hit a trashcan a month after I had my car! NOOOO! Oh well. My car was attacked by debris on 85 3 times that month. It sucked.

Dog ran out of the darkness full speed in front of my EP traveling 50mph. I swerved and just caught those hind legs. Spun his ass right into my passenger side door. Chipped paint, dented front bumper and door. Still feel bad cuz dogs r cool:sadm:

I've had 2 incidents:

1 - Woke up to a hit and run in my apartment parking lot. Front left fender bent, cracked bumper light and cut up bumper.

I hit a deer 2 weeks after buyn my EP. But thats ok cause I ordered some aftermarket parts sooner then I was planing. So it all worked out i guess :D

As it currently stands, 24 out of 56 voters have been involved in an accident of some type. No wonder insurance is a little higher for our cars... thats like 42%. As the poll grew it was steady between 35-45%. It will be interesting to see if this percentage holds once the poll is up into the hundreds of votes.

Damn this sucks i glad i havent wrecked or came close to. i love my car wouldnt want to lose my baby...

i've had 6 minor injuries to my baby blue.

1. 3 days after i bought it, parked on a crowned road and didn't reverse out right away and it rolled on the curb, scratching the bottom of the bumper.
2. Backed into a short yellow pole at work. Put cuts and paint on it right above the muffler.
3. Tornado rolled through town. A plastic 55-gallon barrell hit it and caused 2 small dents above the driver's rear window.
4. Step-sister was goofing around with some friends by my car, swung her keys at him and missed and made a chip in the paint about the size of a .
5. Hit a pheasant at 115 mph....rolled the pass. fender in an 1/8th inch and rolled the back of the front bumper down(little gap) and broke left the head of the pheasant where my yellow sidemarker should be.:rolleyes:
6. Scratched the front bumper again by sliding into a cockeyed brick where i usually park. There was ice on the ground.
Nothing real noticeable, but if i point em out, you can definately see it.
